I can definitely recognize the source and the drums are beautifully performed and recorded, so as far as I'm concerned this is perfect considering the style and source restrictions. Go for it. It's recognizable as the sourcetune, but has enough arrangement that we can hear and appreciate your contributions, and the production excellent. And you could make a strong argument for this as the most creative concept I've ever heard (only thing I can think of that might be able to compete with it is Shnab's remix of the Zelda door-open jingle) Were I a judge, I would give this a yes. There are a few points where not a lot is happening, but it fits in nicely with the rising and falling feel of some parts. A good job!
