how do you make one for tempo changes? I could never really understand how to make one. XD

Right click tempo > create automation clip > in playlist, a new automation clip should appear, edit that to automate tempo

or

Right click tempo > edit events > draw in how you want the tempo automate, and then click the pattern you're automating the tempo on onto the playlist.

Theres two main ways in which you can do this.

1)Right click on the tempo clock and click "Edit Events", and from there a

piano roll-eque window will pop up and you can draw in the time for your song.

Left to right is your time and up to down is your BPM.

2)Right click on the tempo clock and click "Create Automation Clip". From there

you can click on View>Playlist and this is where your tracks sit (if your

in song mode then this is more handy). At the bottom of the window is your

automation clip. You can lengthen it and move it around to suit the length of

your song, and then you can create anchor points and what not to change the

tempo (decided by the height of the line)

little fact of information: most (if not all) delays and echo effects will CUT OFF when the tempo is automated. So be aware of that. If you really want to get around it, you can create your own pseudo manual delay by duplicating a pattern.

Funny thing about automating tempo is that it goes through the automation at a speed according to tempo, so a straight line actually won't give you a steady tempo change, it will need to have some tension on it in some way.
