Picked it up, and played a bit in the past few days against the computer (who by the way is a CHEATING BITCH, tho it doesn't help that my luck with spinning is so damn shitty). Great game from what I've seen so far, can't wait to try it in multiplayer when my buddy comes over again one of these days.

I read the review -- will this be too complex / overwhelming for my casual-gamer wife to play with me? She's fine at Mario Party etc. but doesn't have the reaction speed to do Smash Bros. and the like.

I was wondering the exact same thing. I'm planning on getting this game for Christmas, and I'm hoping the woman will enjoy it as much as Mario Party, except this time I'll actually want to play too.

There's no reflex-based gameplay. Everything is turn-based, even the battles. It's actually pretty simple once you get into the swing of things. Don't play with CPUs though. They're cheap.

So what do you recommend for a guy-and-girl combo? Find another combo to play with instead of going 2-on-2 against the computer? I don't have friends, so this might suck.
