Xenon Odyssey
http://www.korgds10synthesizer.com/htm/index.htm Discuss. I thought it was cool unti they showed the demo videos. It seems kind of pointless if you have to click on each measure to make it play a song like that.

Zephyr
I'm almost positive you can set it up on a playlist (like FL Studio) but you also have the option to use that sort of "live mode". I've heard good things about it and'll probably be picking it up as soon as I can.

Drack
The main feature of this one is portability. If you have an idea or inspiration and you're away from your computer, this will let you save it before you return to the computer for the real work. anosou
But you can't transfer it to your computer. Just plug it into your soundcard and push record in Audacity. Pretty much.

Zephyr
You guys are missing the point methinks... Most of us, or at least me, are interested in this because it's a cheap portable synthesizer and song writing machine. It'll be like a sketchpad for taking down ideas and stuff, and just something to fool around with. I wouldn't use it as an instrument in any mixes or anything. Arcubalis
Definitely missing the point. It's fun to work with limitations, and it's cool to have a portable tool to show your friends on the fly, etc. Plus the wi-fi opens up all sorts of possibilities. It ships tomorrow, but we just posted some impressions here, along with a series of videos including a remix of Chrono Trigger's "Undersea Palace," a tune from GEM Impact (Metal Gear Solid 4, Ninja Blade), and even some jams from The OneUps. Lastly, an interview with Mitsuda about the project: Impressions/Videos: http://www.originalsoundversion.com/?p=972 Interview: http://www.originalsoundversion.com/?p=

Zombie
I actually really want to try this. I'm not huge on making music, but something about it is just intriguing. Perhaps something like this is what i need: something simple to fuck around with and make cool little songs. I'll have to pick it up. Also this + Electroplankton = ??? Arcubalis
That's an awesome idea. I'm going to hook up Electroplankton and KORG DS-10 in the coming weeks. ;D
Zephyr
No-one in my city is carrying it right now... or did it get delayed or something?
Xenon Odyssey
It hasn't been delayed..I think since it's Korg, only select dealers will carry it (at least physically copies). Or if you prefer online: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EB8CD6
