glasfen
I began playing LoZ:TP once again and realized that the first few notes of Kakariko Canyon music are a reference to the classic Kakariko Village music in LoZ3 and Ocarina. Not thinking much about the rest of the tune, I went about my merry way. A few days later, I found this regarding the same song: "...while Twilight Princess only employs brief quotes of the opening melody, the rest being a remix of the Dark World music" (Source here, under Kakariko Village) I can hear it now, though I never would have caught it otherwise. Anyone else pick it up?
friendlyHunter
Hellz yeah and I posted it here too, but I didn't get a response I hadn't seen/read anything about it until now though. Wonder if anyone else here noticed the remix...?
XZero
I never noticed that. The Kakariko Village theme from Twilight Princess was one of my favorite songs from the game, but I'm pretty surprised to hear the connection between it and the Dark World. Very interesting. Drack
Yep. Noticed it, and took for granted everyone else noticed it.
Tables
Huh. The reference to the old Kakariko Village was pretty obvious but I never noticed any resemblance to the Dark World theme. Now I sorta see it, but they rearranged the crap out of it.
Lemonectric
I once tried remixing the two songs together. It was pretty weird when I first noticed the similarity.
