glasfen Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 The Conduit is set to be the big Wii game of this summer. Not only is it a highly praised FPS, but it contains many cool features made specifically with gamers in mind. ACIDplanet is hosting a remixing contest for the game. The winner will receive prizes and be included on the soundtrack. Details here. (Should this be cross-posted in, or moved to, the Remixing forum?) Quote
Nutritious Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 The winner will receive prizes and be included on the soundtrack. To clarify, the winner's track MIGHT be included on a later CD release of the game's soundtrack. Quote
Meteo Xavier Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Yeah, and if Zircon or Jimmy get a hold of this, contest is pretty much over. Quote
Sole Signal Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Oooh nice. I'm probably in. Thanks for bringing this up! Quote

Dj Mokram Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Here's a link to the actual contest page: The Conduit remix contest. I think some people have already submited multiple entries. Also the suggestion to get 'ACID express' seems to imply the samples may be loops in ACID format. This sounds strange... Quote

Dj Mokram Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Seen as they're planning to reward winners with ACID products, it might very well be the case. Quote
Nutritious Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Samples are always provided in wav format (at least in the contests I've entered). They do link to ACID Xpress on all contests, which makes sense if you're trying to get more exposure for your DAW. It's not required to enter contests, though. Quote
