Tenucha
Hey folks! I learned both my Black Mages albums (1 and 2) are actually bootlegged. Being really annoyed at this, and wanting to get my hands on the 3rd album I was hoping you guys can point me in the direction of a website that is selling the three albums (REAL) and at a lower, more reasonable price. I checked Amazon and the albums are listed several times all around $50 to $60 and all with various Labels and Product Numbers... and I learned a long time ago not to buy Japanese goods from Amazon as its usually bootlegs. Meteo Xavier
Digicube sells the legit I think. But you're fighting an uphill battle with hot dog underwear or something, as all music coming from Japan is expensive legitmately.
SwordBreaker
It is sort of hard to get your hands on the first two albums nowadays. The 3rd one should be widely available though. If all else fails you can always download these off the iTunes store. Try playasia. Maybe they still have the old albums.
RedFusion
It appears that Squaresound.com has both in stock. http://www.squaresound.com/the-black-mages-p93.html http://www.squaresound.com/the-black-mages-~the-skies-above~-p94.html They, and their store, have been around for a very long while. Although I haven't personally purchased from them, I still believe that they're trustworthy.
KyleJCrb
VGMdb lists several versions of these albums, both with legitimate and bootleg catalog numbers. Just search "Black Mages" and compare the numbers there with what you're buying to make sure you're getting a legit copy.
quintin3265
I recently saw similar threads to this one at the VGMdb forums (http://www.vgmdb.net/forums). There were quite a few posts discussing how to procure music online and how not to be cheated. Unfortunately, however, the conclusion was that, for some music, it's just impossible to find legitimate copies. You might want to read or ask over there before you buy.
