halc
i spent the past week playing through EarthBound (my first time, finally), and having just beaten it yesterday and feeling very accomplished, i figured it would be appropriate to make a remix the winters mix previously in this thread can be found here: http://remix.thasauce.net/song/RTS0187/
Rozovian
I envy your chippy skills. This is some sweet stuff.
halc
didn't want to make a new thread, so i added another new wip to the first post
Kenogu Labz
Nice job, especially with the Twoson mix. I'm having trouble hearing the source for the Winters mix. Still sounds fantastic. You think this'll make it through the OCR chip ruling?
halc
Nice job, especially with the Twoson mix. I'm having trouble hearing the source for the Winters mix. Still sounds fantastic. You think this'll make it through the OCR chip ruling? you might be listening to the wrong winters source. here's a midi for reference: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/eb_snowhouse.mid twoson would be more likely to pass than winters imo, but i could see winters passing if the final product is solid. my remixes aren't really chiptunes... more like enhanced representations of chiptune sounds. Geoffrey Taucer
Ooh, man, both of these are beautiful. Keep 'em commin'
Theophany
twoson ftw. it's nostalgic, yet funky. looking forward to updates
Orpheon
You've nailed Twoson, no doubt about it - and if I hadn't been previously mesmerised by Brawl's version of Snowman / Winter Theme then I would be by yours.
diamondfalcon
I loved those, I REALLY look forward to hearing the finished versions.
halc
i may have gotten a little lazy with it... but the winters mix is finished. look for it on thasauce in the near future. edit: http://remix.thasauce.net/song/RTS0187/
thegamefreak0134
Oh, how sad. Twoson stopped... there needs to be so much more to this awesome mix. You nailed the atmosphere on it, if anything I'd say it needs a little more in the lower end but that might just be my speakers. I can't wait to hear where you go with it. Pyrion
Track skip @ ~2:42-43 in the Winters mix. Intentional?
halc
Track skip @ ~2:42-43 in the Winters mix. Intentional? i noticed this myself.. it's not intentional, and i don't really know exactly what caused it (lots of FX automation going on at that point might have freaked out my weak cpu). it's only present in the mp3. i'd go back and fix it, but i really have no intention of submitting this to OCR, and i'm lazy
