I have written two pieces that are fairly short in length (2 minutes each), and aren't particularly difficult. I want to put them in my porfolio on my website but the Garritan samples just don't seem all that professional :)

Would anyone be interested in getting the sheet music and playing through the part with a metronome into a wav file? They're woodwind quintets, so:

-Flute

-Oboe

-Bb Clarinet

-F Horn

-Bassoon

If this is a totally stupid idea, let me know! Hahaha. I just don't know how else to get this done. I don't have any good orchestral samples.

are you kidding, you're thinking the bassoon, the oboe sounds like a strangled duck quacking...

I'd do the flute part for you, but sadly, I gave it up six years ago and don't even remember how to read sheet music anymore...I'm sorry dude, I've even got the perfect set up for recording...

Hmm. Can you send me a copy of the sheet music for the flute part? I'm moving next week so if it's something time consuming, I wouldn't be able to do it, but you said it was not too long and not too difficult, so I could take a look at the music and let you know if I could do it.

Last time I promised a flute part for a non-vgmusic related project I never had time. So I don't want to get your hopes up. BUT if you get like everything done except for the flute I could probably do it.

I'm just super nit-picky about my flute recordings so a "quicky recording" takes me forever so that it's absolutely 200% perfect.

I'll take a shot at the Bb Clarinet music. I don't exactly know what your "not particularly difficult" is, but I might be able to do it. If it turns out I'm having too much trouble, I'll hand it off to someone else.
