Dhsu Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Apparently Steam's inferior stepbrother has survived to see its 5th year. To celebrate this occasion, they are making 50 games available for $5 over 5 weeks. Two weeks have already passed so far, but better late than never eh? This week is MMO/RPG week, so this is your chance to get Titan Quest and NWN2 for 5 smackers! And for some reason Assassin's Creed and GTA: Vice City count too. Oh well, link - http://www.direct2drive.com/d2dturns5 Quote
SirChadlyOC Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I've been following this sale since it began, and I just can't see myself actually buying anything from them, even for $5. I'd rather pay 25% more for copies of these games on STEAM knowing that I'll be able to have them again later if anything happens to my current hard drive/computer. It's a good deal for those feeling brave, though. $5 for a play through of Assassin's Creed is awfully nice! Quote
Dhsu Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 That was my thought too at first, but it seems they've remedied that - http://www.direct2drive.com/Sites/RET/_includes_prod/dp.htm Quote
Level 99 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Isn't download protection an additional fee? I remember hearing that somewhere... Quote
Dhsu Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 I don't know if they normally charge for it, but for this sale it's added automatically to your cart for free. Quote
Dhsu Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Last week, guys! Some sweet RTSes on sale this time. Quote
Brycepops Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Holy shit. I think I might pick up Titan Quest. I've been interested in that game for a while. Quote
Dhsu Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Oh yeah, if you guys missed any of the previous weeks, a lot of the games they've offered so far are still available at $5. Check it out! Quote
