Liontamer
Can you recommend me some? Thanks for any help you can give!
kitty
Pandora Recovery. Free and simple to use. Try not to write any data on the drive you're recovering from as it will destroy the lost data permanently. http://www.pandorarecovery.com/
Level 99
The best one I can recommend, and the one which is also currently helping me rescue a friend's pc, is EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard. There are some others but that one is doing a bang up job of scanning sectors and finding files missing from the MFT and partition list. It's a little expensive but definitely worth it. EASEUS is actually free until Feb. 1 for a promotion, so that was great. Thanks, Stevo!

m68030
Spinrite is a perennial favorite of mine for low level recovery. Don't know what you're trying to fix though.
