You read that as condescending? It wasn't intended as condescending, since we all know each other fairly well and can usually tell when we're giving each other gentle pokes in the ribs, if you will.

EDIT: Actually, reading over it again, it can come off that way. The first time I wrote, it didn't sound that way to me.

Not posting the image here because it'll stretch out the site, but here's the covers for all 6 issues.

So, they went from prehistoric times, to the pilgrims of America. And then pirates.

Because yeah, NOTHING happened between the prehistoric times and the discovery of America...

Yes, because ships tend to have tall buildings set up atop the mast.

They may have kept some eras blurry to keep an options for some sort of "Batman Secret Journey Through Plothole Filling Devices" series. So they may start 5 or 6 series set in different eras because only Bruce Wayne can be Batman and he can be it in 25 different series at once.

He'll probably come out of this BS younger than before, stronger and be Batman and Robin at the same time.

And I'll read it...

and love it...

Someone should just straight up start a mock series that inappropriately writes Batman into famous literature, like Hamlet, the World's Most Dangerous Game, 1984...

1984 Batman:

BATMAN: HOW MANY FINGERS, WINSTON?

WINSTON: FOUR FINGERS!

BATMAN: WRONG!!! TWO AND TWO MAKES FIVE!!

::SHOCK ZAP ZAP::

WINSTON: ARRRGH!! ALRIGHT, 5 FINGERS!! I SWEAR TO GOD!!

BATMAN: SWEAR TO ME!!

::SHOCK ZAP ZAP::

WINSTON: (GURGLING NOISES)

::SHOCK ZAP ZAP::

But I'm still down for Pirate Batman.

Batman Annual #18 had a story where Leonardo Da Vinci's assistant took on the guise of a bat, making him Batman during the Renaissance. Even though it was part of the Elseworlds series, I wonder if they will try to incorporate things like that into this story. Other past versions of Batman may end up being retconned to fit in with these stories.

Damn, now I have to look up instances of past Batman characters.
