WillRock Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Well, I've recently downloaded a genesis soundfont and made these. Hope you guys enjoy Quote
lazygecko Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 This has my seal of approval. Very convincing use of FM samples. Quote
Garpocalypse Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I like it. Where did you find the soundfont? I'm a Sega nut myself and would like to see what you were using for this. Quote
WillRock Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 Its called the ultimate megadrive soundfont, you should be able to find it if you google it. One thing to note about it tho is that it was clearly made with sonic music in mind - its no good if you want to make say - streets of rage style genesis stuff. Quote
Dash Myoku Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Very awesome stuff right here. I'm definitely gonna have to get this soundfont, I love the sounds they used for sonic. And when implemented the way you did it...guh, it's just auto-win. Good work man. Quote
WillRock Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 How long did it take you to do? About 2 days. Quote
Meteo Xavier Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 About 2 days. Think in terms of hours. Days tell me nothing (Downloaded the soundfont - aiming to overtake your Sega Genesis recreation glory. >:S) Quote
WillRock Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 Think in terms of hours. Days tell me nothing Sorry but I can't tell you that specifically, can't remember. Quote
Nabeel Ansari Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Ho Ly Crap Sir I would've thought these were from genesis games, for sure. 0_0 When your sample quality decreases, it lets us see how great a COMPOSER you are rather than how great you are as a producer. (not that it wasn't a given that you're a good composer) Quote
