djpretzel
Hey OCReMix, DJ FunkDAT here – the artist formerly known as DJ ShadowZero. This remix was done for a radio show for my college back in spring of 2004. It was a new genre for me (ethnic hip-hop) but it was really fun to do. Created using Reason 2.5 and Sound Forge. Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it! Rock on. link to the song: Dan mastertran@drunkenarts.com http://www.drunkenarts.com/
Digital Coma
Keeping the same instrumentation, adding turntable percussion and bass, and changing Dazil to Dajil does not a rearrangement make. NO
Liontamer
http://www.tzone.org/~llin/psf/packs2/Xenogears_psf.rar - 111 "Dazil - City of Burning Sands" Keeping the same instrumentation, adding turntable percussion and bass, and changing Dazil to Dajil does not a rearrangement make. Echo. Nothing meaningful's been done to the piece at all in regards to the rearrangement standards. Nice remix, but not a ReMix by any stretch of the word. DarkeSword
Oh come on man. The texture, sounds, melodic lines, and countermelodic lines are the same. You just changed some samples, added drums, and sped it up. Not enough arrangement. NO
GrayLightning
Yeah this definitely doesn't make much of an arrangement as the other judges said. This almost sounds like a remix, but even on that level, there's not much work done here other than sounding like an upgrade/mock up. Not bad though, but too conservative a take on the theme.
