ambient Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 So I started working on this CT Trial theme remix. It's kinda dubsteppy, but not entirely so. Check it out and let me know what you guys think. UPDATE: Ok, so, this is now finished, I think. Any additional feedback? Rockos Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 The chiptune here are well mixed, but don't you find some part dissonant? The snare need a bit more punch. But for the mix itself, it's nice and well produced. Tho the source seems too much modifed. Maybe someone can clear out things? I'm maybe deaf ^^. Quote
Darangen Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 This is really good! The snare could use a small boost, maybe 2-3db or so. Can't wait to hear more! Quote
ambient Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Alright ya'll, bumping this cause the track is now done. Quote
Gario Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I think I love this. The section at about 2:45 (I think - Tindeck doesn't have a timeline) that changes keys is throwing people off, though (including myself). If I recall correctly, the source actually does drop down to that area for a section, but not at that particular spot. I would consider changing that back into the original key. Otherwise, this is fucking awesome. Quote

There were a couple of bars in the source that were just going crazy before getting back to the original key, but no matter how much I tried it just didn't work in this dancy style, so I had to take it out. However, I think the new transition should fix the problem: Removed Quote
ad.mixx Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I'm all for chiptune / dubstep. I really like this; don't know the source, but I really like it. I suck at techno music in general, so no real critic here, hope this gets on OCR soon. Quote
Gario Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Yeah, that works better. It's still a bit awkward, but it resolves well enough. Sweet mix, man. Quote
ambient Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 Alrightie, this has now been subbed. Quote
