MAGFest on NPR

Imagine my surprise, while I listened to NPR's Morning Edition, half awake in bed, when I heard about a group of "thousands of people who gather to celebrate their appreciation of classic video game music." I never though I'd hear NPR reporting from the VGM event of the year.

I heard this too! That's awesome to see NPR highlighting the video game music community.

I might actually intern at NPR this summer. If I do, I will try my hardest to highlight OCRemix somehow.

It seems like our best arrangements from the most academically canonized genres--jazz, classical, etc...--would be natural fits for NPR. You may do well to push mixes like this one: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02278/

And good luck! I hope you get that position and you're able to follow through. There is a ton of untapped potential for NPR to feature Overclocked; it's s a great fit for many of its programs.

Not really, NPR is balanced fairly well, in most discussions they include liberal and conservative viewpoints. Not sure what a liberal bias has to do with their coverage of music though.

I'm glad they covered MAGfest, that's some great news.
