Wiesty
Brad and I tried this a while back. Xenon got us a chart and we got a handful of people on board. We ran into problems recruiting trumpets. We got a handful, but no one with lead chops. Hopefully it works out better this time.I'm down for Bass Bone (possibly other bone parts as well tuba) and I'm more than comfortable arranging for this setup. !!!!! Awesome man, definitley need some bones, and a bass bone would be killer. I dont think I'll actually find enough bones on the net to be able to audition, but it would be nice to hear anything of yours if you have anything! Wiesty
Hey everyone, I'd like to welcome Anthony Lofton to the project! Anthony is a well known sax player in the community, and spent a good portion of his time as the sax player for The Oneups. We are looking very forward to working with him! Fratto
This is the only recording I have right now. This is the trombone soli portion of a jazz chart I wrote. All four bone parts are me. The sound is kinda dirty and I missed a note somewhere in there, but it's all there.
Fratto
The more I listen to that, the more I think I'll try to record something else at some point. Either way, I can play some bone.

Tuberz McGee
So. Wiesty. You've seen some of my material now. Do I have to send it to anyone else for evaluation? I'm really keen on taking guitar and vocal positions.
Wiesty
I've got a few different guitar auditions in the works currently, and I'm awaiting a few others. I will let you know when I've made a final decision though!
Tuberz McGee
Sweet. Can't wait to see the final line up. Whether I'm a part of it or not.
PixelPanic
Wiesty, have you been recieving my PMs? I keep sending them but nothing appears in the Sent Items area. I'm recording a bass part for a song so I want you to see me in a band mindset.
Fratto
Bump for trumpets?
Wiesty
Hey everyone, sorry for lack of progress, but stuff has been with recently, and we're still waiting for some more players to come forward. That being said, I'd like to welcome Sir Jordanius to the band. He is our first and only trumpet player thus far, and we're thrilled to have him! I've had a few people come forward for brass so far, but nothing permanent. It would be great to get a few more auditions in for trombone/trumpet. Saxophone section is basically filled right now, and rhythm section is in the works! More to come!
blueskies1001
Sent a PM. I'm a trumpet player.
Fratto
Landed a real teaching gig. Doesn't pay a whole lot, so money's still tight, but it's still an increase. So, in August-September I may have a little more cash for some better recording stuff. Hopefully we can still do this.
Wiesty
Hey everyone, just a bit of an update on the roster here. I'll update the main post so you guys can see who all we got so far. First of I'd like to welcome Fratto to the band as a trombonist, our one and only so far. So if there are any trombone players out there looking to get in on a project please step forward. Secondly, I'd like to welcome SirJordanious to the project as a trumpet player. And finally I'd like to welcome joenopride to the band as our pianist. We've had some potential arrangers come forward with some music so it looks like we should be able to get some recording done hopefully by the end of summer. Thats about it for now. Cheers! Wiesty
Hey everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know that we've found a guitarist for the group. I'd like to welcome AndyP! We're just about at enough musicians to start making some music! Would love to find a bass player here soon!
Tuberz McGee
Well, I play Bass, so if you don't find someone we could negotiate something. Just lettin' ya' know.
theshaggyfreak
Jazz is actually how I learned to play bass and I spent about five years doing so when I was a bit younger. Speaking of jazz, I'm hoping to take a jazz composition class from Berklee next year.
Wiesty
If anyone is interested in playing bass please send me some examples of your playing. We're really interested in players who can read music/chord symbols, and play/improvise in genres such as jazz, funk, rock, etc.
theshaggyfreak
I'll have to put something together this week. Maybe I'll even break out the fretless.

C7
Hey, this sounds like it could be fun. Put me down for trumpet. You may've heard me in the last few mega man compos and the recent sonic one, but a good amount of me playing is in amongst my .Specific trumpet parts 0:35 (high stuff) - 1:11 3:04 - 3:41 (a little technical) 3:53 bond! and high notes 4:55 other As far as range, I'm fine with a written G or Ab (concert F or Gb/F#) an octave above the staff. Past that, eh. Shakes are fine, doits are fine, slides are fine, flutter and growl are fine, quick tonguing (double/triple) is fine. Low notes are fine, too, by the way--an oft-ignored range for trumpet (not nearly as much fun!). Edited July 29, 2012 by C7
Calum
Just to let everyone know, the first arrangement is under way Also, if there are any arrangers out there, please do send your work in! I'm working on an arrangement of Nosfair from Metroid. That's all i'll say ; )
