SoundCloud problem linking to OCR

Is there a reason why I can't link OCR in a description for a track on SoundCloud. It just gives me a 404 error. I don't get it. I'd like to have the links directed to posted mixes on here.

well are you linking to the mp3 files or to the mix number?

afaik, Mr. Pretzel doesn't like direct linking to the mp3s

I wouldn't link to an mp3 of a stream on soundcloud...

The links currently require the trailing slash at the very end.

I think djp said he'd change/fix this up at some point, so that the lack of slash wouldn't cause a 404. Though I don't know what that involves, it doesn't sound too tough, so nagging might work.

Thanks, Larry. I tried that and it seems SoundCloud won't accept the added slash in the hyperlink.

Hope it gets fixed for scripts like those.

Just asked about this; when djp next updates the site, he says this'll be fixed so the lack of slash doesn't 404. The update's planned for this year, and he's working on it, which is why some things that could be tweaked on the current site design/coding aren't being touched.

If he's using Apache without vhosts, it requires one word to be added to the conf file. /me nags DJP.
