RayMaynard
I'm still new on here (even though it's been, like, a year since I've been on), and I haven't posted anything yet. When I do, do I have to pay a royalty for the remixes and/or covers I made? I'd like to know, because, of course, I don't want to get sued. Does anybody know? MindWanderer
As long as you don't directly sample any of the original soundtrack, and you aren't selling your remixes for money, you shouldn't have a problem. (And only Square Enix has a problem with the former.) Certainly just getting your remixes posted to OCR is perfectly fine.
Gario
In the case where royalties would become a issue, your track would likely be rejected due to copyright issues before they became posted on the front page. If it were posted, you'd likely have no problems with copyright. Post with no worries, friend!
timaeus222
Yeah, the judges check and make sure that anything that would become a copyright issue or is not written for a game gets a NO override.
