WiFiSunset
I'm starting this thread to ask about how I can teach myself more in-depth music theory. And how I can get a comprehensive understanding of it. Free books, software, or anything else that would help is appreciated !
Melodious Punk
musictheory.net by Ricci Adams has been a great resource for more than a decade now. What are you trying to accomplish with your study? Any particular sounds you are trying to make, or do you want to improve your ability to recognize and recreate sounds? thebitterroost and ShadowRaz
Final Kingdom
Don't know if reddit is your thing, but there's a subreddit for music theory that you can try checking out. I'm sure if you don't learn much from the posts, you'll find the resources useful.

WiFiSunset
Thanks for the replies, started checking some of the sites out musictheory.net by Ricci Adams has been a great resource for more than a decade now. What are you trying to accomplish with your study? Any particular sounds you are trying to make, or do you want to improve your ability to recognize and recreate sounds? I'm trying to be able to identify wha I use in my songs. I can do certain things like (Napoleon Chords; read up on that after I went to musictheory), but I've never identified what I've used. Like now I can see that I've used them before, and maybe how I can better use them.
