Pokémon MD Sky "Good Night" lo-fi hip-hop remix

I've always wanted to do an arrangement of this tune, which plays as you and your partner tuck in for the night after completing a mission. A few days ago, inspiration struck, and I developed a swingy lo-fi hip-hop rendition with a more cheerful chord progression. I'm pretty happy with the sound and mix currently, and have a friend working on a saxophone solo for the middle rep where the lead drops out around 1:22, but I'd like to have some extra ears on it before I call it cooked.

Fixed a few sour notes, changed a string pattern, adjusted EQ and mix. Leaving up the old version for feedback on whether the EQ is better before or after.

I am inexperienced, and not yet posted here on OCRemixed, so take my advice with a grain of salt. First, I would like to say I like the tune, but I ask if the pumping starting at about 40 seconds, is it intentional? I'm not listening on optimal stuff right now, perhaps I'm hearing incorrectly:)

Yeah, the bass doesn't kick in for a while.

I love it! I can absolutely hear this on Radio Cutman or some other station of the like. I was going to mention the mids getting kinda muddy about halfway through the track, but then I noticed the second version appears to have cleaned those up pretty well. I'd absolutely love to hear this with a sax solo in the middle, hope that works out. Well done!
