Synth
Really, we need a sticky for guitars. So appeerntly Eddie Van Halen is doing music for porns now. But, honestly it's the best I've ever heard out of eddie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpACZS0vSO4 My question is how in the hell is making that sound? I know theres a wah, but what else? It sounds like half of the notes are harmonics.
Chavous
He could have that, or it could be an octave pedal (check out Pink Floyd's "Marooned".) or even high feedback levels. Then again, I'm not expert so for all I know, they could be all harmonics.
Fishy
Sounds like a sustainer pickup to me. He probably has it on very high output, with a wah, and everytime he presses forward on the wah, it encourages feedback to make harmonics. For all we know he's probably recorded this about a metre away from his amp, so it could be as simple as shoving it close up every so often. Jagori
I'm pretty sure Fishy's got it with the Sustainer suggestion, but it doesn't have to be feedback-based. They have a mode that fades into the 5th harmonic like that. I wanted to get a Fernandes guitar for the longest time just for that effect
Sixto
Yeah, it's a Sustainer. Switch it on and it lasts forever.

When the harmonics fade in is related to the wah position from what i can hear. I don't think he has the pickup in harmonic mode.
