MooMan1
I thought that it would be really cool if someone could take the thirty or so seconds of song from the Zelda Ocarina songs and extrapolate them into full, semioriginal pieces. Any takers?
Theory of N
You're talking about the Requiem of Spirit, Bolero of Fire, Serenade of Water, etc.? Because I've done a remix of the Bolero of Fire that I haven't submitted yet.
MooMan1
Them's the ones. I also wish you luck on getting the mix past the ReViewers. Also, the other songs, like Oath to Order, would be balleristic as mixes.

sephfire
Tweek tried a big Ocarina song medley back when he was just starting out. It was so-so, but he was just getting started with Reason at the time. And honestly, trying to squeeze all of the different melodies into one mix can easily sound gimicky. I'm sure it could be done, it would just be easy to botch up.
tweex
Tweek tried, AND FAILED, a big Ocarina song medley back when he was just starting out. It was ABSOLUTE SHIT, but he was just getting started with Reason at the time. And honestly, trying to squeeze all of the different melodies into one mix can easily sound gimicky. I'm sure it could be done, it would just be easy to botch up. Fixed the quote . And yes, seph speaks the truth concerning the possible "cheese" factor. However, I'm tempted to try it again at somepoint .
MooMan1
I was talking about making a song that started as one of the warp songs, and became its own song, though staying in the style of the original song. I wasn't talking about a medley mix.
TheThoughtfulOne
Either one... I'd love them all. I've been in love with Zelda for a long time, even more now that I've played through TP (god Zelda is a babe) and I wanna hear anything and everything I can for the series's. Villainelle
There's already an excellent partial orchestral medley (Bolero, Requiem, Song of Storms) by Unknown (Tyler Heath): http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01153/ He's done more in his "Artifact of Power" series, but no idea where you can find them now...they were on VGMix and SoundTempest.net, neither of which is up. I'll also be posting a Spirit Temple/Requiem of Spirit WIP later today as well, but it's more akin to Middle Eastern-flavored electronica/dance. Theory of N
but it's more akin to Middle Eastern-flavored electronica/dance. O.o That should be interesting... EDIT: lol didn't realize it was already posted in the wips. Just listened and it IS very interesting.
