  1. The drums have way too much reverb on them. It's really distracting. But I like the idea. The flute needs to be less sharp. Soften it and let it decay softly, like a real flute would. But yeah The reverb needs to be lessened or something. There's too much of it. everything else is mixed pretty well in my opinion. As far as the arrangement goes, I feel like you should establish the tempo and the rhythm for the listener a little bit longer before the melody comes in. The entire time I was trying to make sense of it all.
  2. It wasn't a song I wanted to remix, it's remixes I've heard. In middle school when I discovered this site, I heard things I thought I would never hear. Once I came across "One Girl in All the World" and all of Æ's remixes, it was a done deal.
  3. https://soundcloud.com/keitomine/farewell Check it out! I have a few video game remixes I should submit to this site... Maybe I will... My presence should be known at this point.
  4. Sounds like a mix... or is this Sample fuckery? It's cool
  5. Ah, I see. Lowering that section from 2:20-2:45 would make sense. I really like the intro in this track, but I feel like it comes in too quickly haha. I really like progressive stuff to be honest. But as far as EQ goes, It's hard for me to tell what needs work because all I have to work with are monitor headphones, and I think they're burning out, due to constant use for like 2 years.
  6. So I've been producing music on a laptop for a long time, but I'm looking to upgrade. I know desktops are better for production, but I need the portability until I'm in a situation where I can build a home studio. I know a lot of people recommend Macbook Pros, but 1: they're really expensive, and 2: My DAW of choice isn't stable on that OS. I've considered the option of buying a Mac, and just bootcamping a windows OS, but why do that when I can just buy something that defaults with a Windows OS? So anyway I'm looking for something quite powerful, but portable at the same time. With a decent onboard sound card and maybe the option of Fire Wire. The main use of the computer will be music production, but I do want it strong enough to play modern games as well (I'm all about multipurpose anyway). What brands would you recommend, or what websites should I start looking?
  7. I like the mixing overall, though I kinda feel like some of the frequencies clash in the beginning, and the reverb on the kick is odd to me (just because I've never really heard it done myself) But I love what you did with this. I could seriously hear this being used in an indie remake of the game or something. Good work.
  8. Hello. I know I'm new to these forums, but I've been following this site since I was wee lad (haha) I'd say 10 years, at the longest. Back when AE, Darksworde, and The Wingless, were my favorite artists on the site. But I kinda stopped following the site all together, because I noticed a drop in quality of actual video game music (solely my opinion though), so I got less interested in the remixes that could have popped up. But anyway I've been making and remixing music for a long time, but finally got confident enough with a few tracks I may submit. The first one is a Trance remix of Requiem of Spirit from Ocarina of time that I've branded under my Trance alias "Trancera" https://soundcloud.com/keitomine/requiem-of-trance Edit: Noticed the rules. Lols I'll post my other remixes separately some other time.
