I wanted to make something using my new instruments so I started on this as a kind of demo, and then I ended up turning it into a full song. The violin which starts playing at 0.29 and 1.36 doesn't really fit in in my opinion. It's mostly the sound of it. And the last note of the piece is also quite sudden. Fading it out may have been a better choice. Maybe I'm just imagining things but was this piece inspired by Irish music?
