Finally, someone else besides me! I thought I was going crazy

Time for some sacriledge After watching most of the movies i can foresee some complaining about the stages. So much of them are the lineair basic smash stage layout, or very close to that. I fear Sakurai took a too close look at the tournament players. I know we only know half, or less of all the stages, but even so, it's clear they intend to have a very strong emphasis on those kind of stages. Changing backgrounds,but stagewise just a few platforms etc. Out of 15 stages, we've got maybe 3 possibly 4 exceptions on that theme. And it worries me. Edit: What i mean to say, those kind of stages have a very distinct king of the hill feel to it. Too freaking small! I'm no Hyrule temple player, bot a few more wider stages (the Super mario world stage, the majora's mask stage, the donkey kong stage, etc from melee) wouldn't hurt.

That's not all. i hope the stage transformations/going to new places isn't finished yet. It just fades over. Kinda ugly, especially in the fire emblem stage :S

Why is everybody forgetting captain Olimar? He's not even obscure. I think (hope) he's pretty much certain. Am I missing some piece of info?

Spoilers is something else as knowing every (not hidden) stage, adventure cinema or character by heart before even buying the game. But meh, not that worried. Daily updates are far to much fun

Naw, no flaming here/ Just saying it was lame. Sometimes it's good for someone to hear what they're doing wrong On topic though. Considering how long it will take for ssbb to reach Europe, and taking into account the vast amount of daily updates till that time, i'm beginning to worry. I can't stop watching this. Hell it's the first thing I look at in the morning. Nice little "ow cool" factor to start the day. However. I'm scared i'll know half the game by releasetime. I HAVE to go cold turkey within months !!!

Well that helps. But not a huge step to imagine how people that are fans feel about something like this, right?

I haven't played Prime3 yet. But i'm not stupid. The "oh wait" at the end of the post made it lame. I happen to look forward to that game. So what if it's obvious. There is a difference between thinking it, and having the HA, i'm smart, feeling when your hunch comes true, and KNOWING something because some ass gave a rather unsubtle hint

Thanx, doing a kind of progressive gamedesign study myself, that was refreshing to answer. Glad to see someone asking some of the right questions (or i am just thinking the questions have the right agenda, when in fact they don't )

As a designer, i can't see too many wrong things with it myself, even though it is a bit underwhelming and unoriginal/ The one things that does bug me though, is the extra dark samus head in the corner. Definitly a stylebreaker. If want to have floating dismembered things on there, make it the overal style for the cover. Don't take a finished cover where the protagonist and the antagonist are introduced in full form, with the background playing into that fact (samus has the bright earth as a backgrond, dark samus the dark) and slap an extra head on there. It even messes up the balance. We tend to "read" a picture from left to right and from bottom to top, and everything in the cover works to that line (the edge of the planet drawing your eye to samus' face in the middle) EXCEPT the damn floating head. So, subjective opinions aside, yes, there is definitly something wrong with the cover (but it could be fixed by just removing the damn head)

Too lazy to check if this is already mentioned but; Good news for the people saying de Corruption cover is ugly, It made it into the "hey covers you suck" article on 1up. http://www.1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=3&cId=3162014 Along with a possible Smashbros joke This is like something in one of those activity books you give to kids to keep them shut up on a long drive. "How many Samuses can you find in this picture?" I can spot three, but there might be another one hidden in the clouds. Are there three Samii on there because it's the third game in the series? If that's how they're going to do it then whenever they get back to the series proper it's going to look like the Sgt. Pepper's cover. It's possible that those other Samuseses's are her evil counterparts, of which she has been getting an awful lot lately. Problem is, I can't tell any of Samus's suits apart. Maybe if Retro starts putting goatees on the bad ones.
