http://www.zophar.net/nsf/zelda.zip - Track 1 I agreed with zircon's crits regarding the sound balance of the melody versus the other instrumentation, as well as the overall muddiness and crappy encoding rate. Otherwise, good sounds, good concepts, but underdeveloped. Expand it and title it something more unique and creative. NO

Weakling AKA (but keep that a secret will ya!) matthewlesko@gmail.com Wounded Paw Records Spy Vs. Spy Main Stage Music NES I'm pretty high right now This shit's punk rock. I'd appreciate any and all feedback, you guys seem like you know your shit. At least put up one of those lovely "yes or no" threads. Also I'll mail you acid. Oh yeah I'm using a ghetto mp3 converter, the song's 1:35, not 3:20. Strong hits, too. ----------------------------------------------- Love that source tune. Been a favorite ever since CueB had that NSF rip up on the site a few years ago. Mix enters in with an audible click, a dirty bassline, some lame sampling from some movie that showed up a few times. The variation with the instrumentation was decent (for what it was), but the textures were pretty sparse regardless. Not much development of the ideas or interpretation of the source material here. Was basically a cover, only with crazy drums 'n shit, which'll never cut it here. You gotta do more. And indeed, the encoding was fucked up and the track was only 1:35-long. Ended before it got started. You can hang onto your acid. NO

Yes, it's >12MB, but it's less than 7mins. Besides, the letter was interesting - LT Hi. I'm submitting for a friend. He calls himself Crocco. He has several years of experience within composing. I knew he was good, so it was in fact I who persuaded him to try out remixing game songs. He's done three songs till now, all three was recommended by me... I quote his own word though: "I didn't give the remixes my full effort and commitment as I could've, since I didn't come up with the idea myself. However I thought it was a bright idea to widen my horizon and try something new besides composing own melodies. And I'm actually quite pleased with the outcome, especially my first remix." He composes Electronica-music, and he simply HATES Techno, Trance, Dance and similar. "Electronica was pioneer to all these subcategories, and not without a reason. Electronica must remain special and abstract, like art." I've attached the first song to this e-mail. It's from the game Rygar, and the melody comes from final stage before the "end-boss", Ligar. Therefore the name; "Ligar's Castle". The reason he doesn't submit himself, is because he's too shy himself to do it. So this is actually ment as a surprise. I just hope the verdict comes out as positive as I think it will. I'll post another one, once the verdict is placed. Sincerely, KaKistoZ ----------------------------------------------------- http://www.zophar.net/nsf/rygar.zip - Track 6 Opens up with some standard beats before being joined by the ridiculously loud NSF original completely pasted on top. Some supporting percussion joined in at :29, but was covered up pretty badly. The texture was empty despite the volume, but another part was added at :59 to further fill out the track. It's a subtle evolution, but the result still wasn't particularly interesting. Kind of waiting for something to go on to change the dynamics. 1:43 drops several parts out just leaving the basic beats, before changing entirely to a very minimal (and unfortunately bland) wholly original section at 1:57. The lil' effects in there were cool, but there wasn't anything else really going on until 2:26 with some countermelodic support and the beats coming back again at 2:42. Goes back to the saw-style stuff at 2:56 in a weak transition. Finally changed up at 5:10 with a different beat pattern ad subtraction of parts before rehashing the minimal section from 1:57. The beats never gel with any of the other music, nothing is interestingly developed or evolving, and the arrangement is nonexistant. Once you hear the first 2:42, you've basically heard the entire thing minus some various embellishments. Before you submit something for your friend, you may want to read the submissions guidelines sometime. This uses the original audio itself as a crutch to provide any material from Rygar, which we do not allow. NO Override

Okay, submitted a while back, but the host deleted it. Using google now. Also, I apologize if you recieved an incomplete version of this e-mail, I think I hit the wrong button. Sorry again, this one has a link. I feel really stupid now. Contact info: Mixer Name: Facelessman E-mail: fayceless@gmail.com Remix info: Game: Donkey Kong Country 3 Soundtrack: http://www.zophar.net/zsnes/spc/ddt.rar Just something I made, almost a year ago actually. I haven't done much remixing since VGMix went down (doing more original music since then), hopefully I can get some newer stuff done and submit it. But anyways, it's an arrangement of the forest level(s) song from Donkey Kong Country 3. It focuses mostly on string instruments, with some echo effects and stuff. Enjoy. LINK: ------------------------------------------------------ http://snesmusic.org/v2/download.php?spcNow=dkdt - "Treetop Tumble" (dkdt-21.spc) Interesting original. Pretty unassuming tune, not there to astound. Pretty decent string opening, featuring some nice plucked string samples at :09 handling the melody, albeit conservatively. Some pizz strings joined at :25 along with some nice bowed strings harmonizing with the other instruments at :32; nice job adding those in so that it wasn't abrupt and didn't sound pasted in. Vox fading in at :34 was a nice touch to help fill out the track. At :57, you can tell the track is supposed to escalate with those squeaky strings, but I thought the sample there wasn't used that well. The bow movements sounded really jerky and flat, making the attempt to create some dynamic contrast and energy not work as well as intended. Same at 1:29. The fuller sections all came across as flat. Moves over at 2:01 into some pizz strings in the front while the source tune played in the back, then going back to the chorus at 2:17. Despite the effects, things there sounded rather hollow and empty. I liked the gentle ending from 2:34 until the end; some ideas were repeated, but I thought they worked beforehand and brought a sense of closure to the piece. I think the sound quality and composition style is pretty reminiscent of the SNES, only upgraded; it honestly sounds like something Wise and Novakovic (Fischer) could do on the N64. But there's a significant lack of realism here that needs to be worked on before this comfortably moves over the line. Work on refining the sound of the various string parts, and perhaps think of an idea or two to pad the track out in places besides the vox. Good work so far. NO (resubmit)

I'm a fan of the PSO soundtracks. Not much of fan of your mix title though. Let's get more creative, please. Pretty cool opening, followed by a laid-back groove. Synths here are pretty decent on the whole, although the highs are a bit loud. That lead synth at :52 though was pretty bland, and the melody wasn't providing much direction. Ouch, that synth choice at 1:27 was no good. Very flat, not expressive at all. Getting to 2:02, seems to basically repeat the first section. OK, wait...everything's repeating over again. May have been some very minor additions in there, but probably not. Disappointing bro, you got lazy. Beyond the genre conversion, the arrangement should have been more interpretive. And simply creating 2 minutes of mix, then rinsing and repeating was lame. We're definitely looking for more than that around here. You gotta be more. NO

Congrats, bro. Excellent work! -
Hi Pretzel, Its been awhile yesh? few years i think. A new remix. well actually remix is the wrong word but a remake? And its from the classic zelda themes from ocarina of time. I hope you like it! Iv been thinking about a comeback for too long and now. I think its time i got back in the industry. I hope your site is going very well! Best Regards/ Filip Thimrén ----------------------------------------------------- http://www.zophar.net/usf/lozusf.rar - 26 "Zelda's Theme", 35 "Lost Woods" & 57 "Windmill Hut" Running this by some other panelists, I had a chance to develop some early misconceptions about the piece, namely the level of Zelda source tune arrangement involved here. There are some more overt connections and some more liberal ones, the sum total of which being more than enough to count as a viable arrangement with the standards here. :12 opened with two pianos, the backing piano being a liberal arrangement of "Zelda's Theme", repeated with the lead synth and piano doubling each other from :39-1:05. The woodwind lead from 1:05-1:16 was handling a liberal arrangement of "Lost Woods," most evident from the phrasing from 1:06-1:08 & 1:15-1:16. Overtly, we then had "Zelda's Theme" back at 1:32 via synth lead along with the beetz, before seguing into an excellent, very interpretive piano solo from 1:58-2:24, then transitioning back to the previous style/textures from 2:24-2:50. Very seamless and energetic inclusion of "Windmill Hut" from 2:50-3:17, before repeating the liberal sections of the mix at 3:30. The key change at 4:23 seguing into the fadeout finish was jarring and pretty much pointless; you get used to it over time, but it was still a poor idea, IMO. Would have been better to fashion a stronger resolution without changing the key, but that was the one major weak point for me. I know Vigilante had a problem with the groove here not being integral to the track, but for me the groove was excellent and most importantly wasn't used as a crutch from an arrangement or writing standpoint. The three source tunes used here were excellently interpreted and joined together, and the countermelodic and supporting writing was otherwise excellent. Solid arrangement, along with strong production. Really great to see an old-schooler like NoppZ back in the game. Besides zircon's album project, Final Fantasy 7 "Voices of the Lifestream", hopefully this isn't the last we've heard of Filip. Groovetastic, bitches. YES

Hello there, As i´m a new remixer i can give you some info: ReMixer name: Patriarch K Email: Patriarch.K@gmail.com Here´s a remix i made from the game Ultima 5 (Stones): Name of Remix: Lord British Lullaby Name of game: Ultima 5 - Warriors of Destiny Name of individual song: Stones Composed by: David R. Watson (http://www.answers.com/topic/david-r-watson) I don´t think it was Kenneth W. Arnold who wrote the song stones. System: Commodore 64 Copyright: Origin Link to original: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/computer/commodore/commodore/stones5.mid I was playing my accordion and suddenly i made a sweet little melody. I decided to make a version on this on the computer in a more "soft" way and so i did. When i had made about a minute on the song i realized that i could use the Ultima song with the chords that i used and so i did. The result of this is the song i have posted here and i hope you enjoy it. I made this song in Reason 3.0 and i used Goldwave afterwards to adjust things. The ID3v2 were changed while getting it on soundclick so i will also attatch the song in this mail with the ID3v2-information... Thank you /Kristofer

As soon as I got Super Mario DS I grooved on the music. A Delightful mix of old and new school just like the game itself. The arrangement I am sending you guys hopefuly will give off that same impression. More than anything I just realy had fun with it . I don't know if this is up to par with your high standards but I hope at the very least you'll enjoy it. It's a mix of the first level, undergound, and the invincible theme, and a few original parts. The link is in the subject Jredd- ------------------------------------------------------ New Super Mario Bros. (Game Rip) - 04 "Walking the Plains", 09 "In the Underground" & 45 "Starman" Good opening, though a bit lossy-sounding for some reason. Looks like the initial beatwork was sampled; sounded like you took the beats from Q-Tip's "Breathe and Stop" from :09-:28, leaving the melody more in the background. Push the melody up a bit there. Perhaps don't use the sampled beats and fashion your own instead. Segued into some NES style st00f at :33 with some tasteful work done to ensure it wasn't just a transposing of the melody. The chiptune work there was pretty thorough, albeit brief. Transition into the Underground BGM at :57 wasn't as good, but wasn't awful. Write something that switches sections a bit more smoothly. Rhythms changed up at 1:07, and later gave way to a muddier take on things from 1:21-1:35 thanks to the faux electric guitar. Nice original section intro at 1:36. Nice bassline work starting at 1:45 along with that new faux guitar synth. The "Invincible BGM" dropped into the background at 2:04, but it wasn't a focal point of that portion of the arrangement, leaving things too liberal. 2:23-2:52 (where's the meat on the drums?) got a little more interpretive in terms of dealing with the additional parts of the Invincible theme (most familiar with Mario 64's Wing Cap theme, basically the same in New SMB), but ultimately still sounded too liberal and straying very, very far from the inspiration. Same with 2:52-3:02, it was loosely derived from the Invincible BGM, but take it out of the context of the original and I wouldn't be able to draw a connection. Good ending section from 3:02 with what I believe is original writing (can't be sure), before wrapping it up with the stage completion jingle at 3:26. The production's noticeably rough. The overall atmosphere sounded a bit lossy. Not a big deal, all things considered. I'm pretty on the fence with this one, because I liked all of the variations of the source tunes here. But the "Invincible BGM"-inspired section took up almost half the track though and strayed way too far into liberal territory. You gotta rein that back in to the land of recognizability, then I'll likely give you the YES. Good energy, good ideas overall; you're noticeably improving. Best of luck on the rest of the vote. I think I changed the style from a mellow trance to a more hardcorish trance. I added a few parts (like the soft middle part) to incorporate some of the original ideas with something of my own. I used the main piano line a good amount, and I also created a few variations of it. I hope you enjoy this remix. ----------------------------------------------------- beatmania IIDX 7th style Original Soundtrack - (29) "traces" Thanks, as usual, for you providing the original. My first though after listening to the source: there's not much to work with melodically. Dunno where you're gonna get 6:02's worth out of it, but I'm certainly gonna be interested. Faded in with some synths 'n beetz. The drumwork there was really flat and tame, but the other stuff was alright. Melody came in at :49 with the classic piano tone used in these types of tracks. Not feeling the texture from 1:21 with those distorted beats, which didn't quite fill out the track; the background needs padding. The distorted beats actually, IMO, ended up crowding out some of the other supporting writing ideas, making it seem like less was going on. Some more beatwork was added in at 1:33 to further flesh things out. Piano came in at 1:46 (nice effects at 1:51 & 2:04). Switched to another combination of beats at 2:11. The piano sample sounded very thin and exposed compared to its usage before. Synth at 2:37 providing the melodic content was bland to me, but not a big deal for that section. Slowed down and switched over to a quieter original section at 3:04. Not feeling that lead synth at 3:25; ultra-bland, along with the backing synth padding it out. The beats were decent, but plodded along after a while. The piano performance starting at 3:41 was decent; good writing, but once the notes got closer together, the sample was pretty exposed. More could be done to have it flow more naturally, though your velocity variation is in the right direction. Tempo shifted upward around 4:32. 4:46 has some cool warbling that gives way to more thick beats along with the piano. The piano sounded too bright, and again something about the performance didn't feel smooth. On the arrangement side, things are OK. But, overall, the synth design just doesn't seem very unique, or strongly presented, making the arrangement seem a lot less strong. It's not to either hate on the genre or deny the effort put into making the mix and working on the slew of effects in order to give the track more meat and depth. But there's a...blandness here that makes me feel like this was supposed to sound much more expressive. I'd like to see the production and synth design given more love. Best of luck on the rest of the vote, Fernando. Despite not quite feeling this one, your talent is more than apparent, so I hope you keep working on this. NO (refine/resubmit)

Contact Info Remixer name: Top Dollar Real name: Markus Friebee-mail: m_friebe@gmx.net Website: www.matrix-faq.com (not music-related) ReMix Info Game: Jurassic Park (GB) Songs remixed: Track 2, 3, 4 and 7 Link: http://www.zophar.net/gbs/jurazzic.zip Liner notes: Again, one of my first VGM experiences ever. Ever since I started remixing I have thought that the soundtrack for the JP game for GB would be a great opportunity to go orchestral on it. And again, I took the approaching of composing it as a sort of end credits, visiting several themes of the soundtrack, intermingling it with original compositions. ----------------------------------------------------- http://www.zophar.net/gbs/jurazzic.zip - Tracks 4 (:57-2:26), 3 (3:36-4:45), 2 (5:01-5:36) & 7 (6:00-6:55) A lot of the melodies in these sources take a while to show up in the GBS, so you'll have to be patient when making comparisons. Pretty strong opening, though the texture sounded thin around :44 during the buildup. The section from :57-1:42 was good, but seemed sparse, plus the strings sounded mechanical/jerky with the note movements. Nonetheless, I liked the writing, and the energy was good overall. After having the melodic strings blend together with the supporting instrumentation from :57-1:53, it was odd hearing the woodwind sound so much louder and dominant from 1:53 (playing some stuff from Comic Bakery that was cribbed for JP's soundtrack). Didn't like the timing sounding so rigid with the phrases from 2:03 and 2:21. The supporting writing under the lead though was pretty well-done, before transitioning into some quieter stuff at 2:26 for some nice contrast. Definitely a good move for an arrangement this lengthy. Heard some light clicks/pops in the back from 3:29-3:36. Once things got denser with the woodwind, strings, vox, drums, etc. at 3:36, the soundscape became too muddy and cluttered, plus the mechanical nature of the woodwind further hindered the expressiveness of the section. Things remained crowded and muddy all the way until 4:47 finally changed up the sound combinations a bit. Once things picked up again at 5:02 with the woodwind lead, things became mudded up again, though less drastically than last time around. Lead was still fake/mechanical-sounding and too loud, IMO. Would have been more interesting and creative to play around with some different ideas for the lead to change things up. Really liked the strings and brass taking over though at 5:36. The writing was beautiful and the interplay of the various elements was solid, leading to a beautiful finish. The last note hung too long, but wasn't a big deal. This one is pretty close. Look into decluttering some of the denser sections so that things aren't swamped, revisit the sound balance of the woodwind lead vs. the other sounds, get rid of the clicks/pops, and see if more realism can't be injected into the lead woodwind and string performances (that's a more minor criticism, so focus on the other improvement suggestions). Pretty close, but it needs a little more love. Definitely tweak this and send it back, Markus. The site needs an arrangement like this one. Good luck on the rest of the vote, as this may have what it takes to pass; either way, even a rejection would have most if not all of us encouraging a resubmission. NO (borderline/refine/resubmit)

Squeek/Squawk - LT Hi! Looooooooooongtime fan of the site, first time contributor. The name I've chosen to use here is ECJConsort (short for Epic Chamber Jazz Consort). This is a band I recently put together. We play jazz and covers and stuff and a few video game tunes here and there, so I thought you guys would maybe like this. It's the least I can do for downloading hundreds of amazing tunes from here over the last 6-7 years. If that attatchment doesn't work, our website is: http://ecjconsort.googlepages.com/songs Also, this is my first time with ID3 tags, so hopefully I got them all right. Apologies in advance for missing anything. Anyway, the official info: ECJConsort Danny Fratina ecjconsort@gmail.com http://ecjconsort.googlepages.com 50785 Halo 2 Peril What's there to say? The Halo soundtrack is absolutely incredible. I wanted to mess with the themes from it. I also wanted to try something a little different with my band that is made up of only wind players playing jazz. The result turned out to be this: Peril, without any strings or vocals, and with some fine improvisors.

this is a track for the upcoming PKMN project. its going to be a while till it's released, so i'm just submitting this early. i'd appreciate it if you all sat on this track till the project's done (or till it collapses, whichever comes first). I've got one for LAProject that's coming in the next email. song: Viridian City Theme game: Pokemon RBY track name: Viridian Vibe remixer: The Prophet i performed the sax and handdrums, and the rest is synthed with Reason, rewired through FL for the recordings and mastering. with this track, i tried to capture the feeling that Ash would have in visiting his first 'big' city outside of pallet town. its the first time he's gone out in the real world, and i wanted to get the feeling that he's sitting on a park bench somewhere, with this 'busy' city all around him, and he's starting to feel a little small and unimportant. part of this is coming from my first experience in a really big city last year, when i went to NYC for the first time. the feeling of being amazingly small, and no one cares about you is the feel i was going for. i basically finished this track about six or eight months ago, and then just recently re-opened the file and added the handdrums, and then performed it at a talent show on campus. if there's any questions about the track, feel free to ask me. Dunno if this was worth 7mins, but a ballsy enough approach that I'll push for some comments - LT Contact Info * Your ReMixer name: pu_freak * Your real name: Pieter van Os * Your email address: pu_freak@hotmail.com * Your userid (number, not name) on our forums: 27476 * Link to the mix: ReMix Info * Name of game(s) ReMixed: Super Mario World (SNES) * Name of individual song(s) ReMixed: Overworld BGM * Your own comments about the mix, for example the inspiration behind it, how it was made, etc.: Alright, this is my first mix for OCRemix and it's a jazzy version of the Overworld BGM from Super Mario World. It started out as a paino Remix, but it finally turned into this. It starts off pretty striaghtforward with nothing too special, with an silent and relaxed part at 0:35. At 1:25 there's a little part of Super Mario Bros 3 in it (too small to be mentioned in the remixed games)., which is simple and straightforward. After that the normal part of the mix comes. The piano is more lively (all played live on piano by the way) untill a little super mario bros part at 2:28. After that piece comes the big improvisation part, with a slow, almost orchestral piece that lasts untill 3:33, where a jazzy improvisation part kicks in. That blends into the mian theme again at 3:59. It keeps going untill 4:31, where a calm interpretation of the main theme comes (much like bladiator's "Grand Valse Mario"). This is abruptly ended at 5:15 to come with a very crowded and final version of the Overworld BGM where (almost) every instrument plays together. The end is the fanafare from Super Mario 3 and the fanafare from Super Mario Bros in an orchestral version. I didn't use any program to create it, I just used the Kr-107, an electric piano made by Roland. It's not a very deep ReMix, but nonetheless an ejoyable if I should listen to some commenters. ---------------------------------------------------- http://snesmusic.org/v2/download.php?spcNow=smw - "Overworld BGM" (smw-10a.spc) Started off with pretty low-quality samples, especially that GM-ish brass. I see you're looking for the arrangement to carry this one. Switched over at 1:23 into some brief SMB3 love with the "Athletic BGM", a true classic that gets no attention around here, before segueing back into the SMW Overworld BGM. The texture was so imbalanced. When the vox was in play, it seemed like it should have been the lead, except that it was really quiet. Abruptly changed over at 2:49 into some original material that has no thematic or stylistic connection with the prior material. We're all for adding original material into arrangements, but it sounded very disconnected here in a way that detracted from the arrangement. Even the transition back into the previous sounds at 3:33 seemed awkward. Even when you simply changed the instrumentation style of the source tune itself, the transitions were disjointed, like at 4:31. Your more orchestral stuff was at least more pleasant to listen to. Attempted to go for a strong close at 5:14, again with awful transitions at both 5:14 and 5:23, but that GM-ish brass and piano stuff plus the vox all clashing together wasn't the way to go out. I liked the overall energy, but the parts definitely didn't synch up well at all, with everything sounding rather cheap, imbalanced, and not playing together. You get an E for effort, but not for execution. Keep working towards improving. NO

avaris Shaun Wallace 41548 Chrono Trigger Schala's Theme midi: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/CT-Schala.mid remix: Hola dudes, omg another Schala mix! I got the name for this remix from the song that inpsired me to make it And that song is "Sora's Folktale" from the Escaflowne movie. It was made by the one and only, my idol and yours, Yoko Kanno. One of my all time favorite songs. Schala's theme just managed to fit with the mood I was wanting to go for. Well anyways, this song is minimalist style on purpose. Also if you guys got any questions about the arrangement I'll rip a midi for you, of course you all have good enough musical ears to notice the subtle differences in each section. I had a lot of fun making this one, particularly creating the soundscape. I fed some parts of this through a granulizer, especially some of the rythm sections. I also change the time signature midway through too, and pretty much every harmony/melody/counter melody you hear is layered out the yang. I also did something special within the layering that I feel really made for an even more effective ambient feel. Thanks guys n gals.

Here we go! There she be. Original Decision: http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=89725 After taking all the judges comments to heart, I made several changes to this piece. I have changed the percussive background a little (while also adding some more auxilary drums), added a minute or so to the length of the song, and took out the fade away ending--replacing it with something a little more majestic. I hope you enjoy my resubmission and thank you for your suggestions and for giving me another chance! ~Smartpoetic

I haven't made a remix in a hella long time. So I wanted to do something special, a remix from Chaos Legion for the PS2/PC, which previously hasn't been covered at all. Why?! I don't know, but it has a great soundtrack. For this remix I used two songs from the ost, the first called "08 - A way to nowhere Stage ~Ruins~" which is the most used source, secondly is "15 - Feel no fear Stage ~Sky Gallery~" which is used partly. Soundtrack was composed by Hideyuki Fukasawa in 2003. The only place I know to hear this soundtrack is on that BlueLaguna website. For this mix I wanted to retain what I liked about the soundtrack; being the heavy orchrestral apocalyptic feel, cool acoustic beats, electric guitar usage and synths. Though the source is used closely, I wanted to mix it up more so than reaarange it. There is however, alot of input on my side to the flow and arrangement of the two songs. But more importantly is that it retains the feeling of the game, which was my main goal. I don't think I have anything else to add, go nuts you buggers!

Battery Zone Jam Game: Sonic & Knuckles for Genesis The Cynic Project http://sonic.tcpmusic.com/ Also my last submission (mid August) has not appeared on the page, can I check if it's still in the queue? thanks Previous Submission (flying battery zone jam): ------------------------------------------------------ http://project2612.org/download.php?id=61 - Flying Battery Zone 1 Enters with a percussion and synth combo that was a bit odd in a bad way. Didn't really seem like it clicked together, on account of the synth. There's a cool shimmery sound (most easily heard at :24 & :27) that's way in the back. Fairly good instrumentation ideas overall, but the sound combinations really don't lock together, mainly because of the percussion sounding thick, dominating most of the soundscape. Meanwhile, the background of the track wasn't even being adequately filled out. It took until :52 with the synth strings for that to even happen (off-and-on). You need to fill out the track more consistently. Was there any point to the random synth from 1:20-1:26? Poor transition idea regardless, especially for something where the track didn't even change up afterward. Scrap it. On the other hand though, nice cameo from that glassy synth from 1:59-2:02 that actually complimented the rest of the instrumentation. Didn't work as well for the ending, since you exposed the sample too much on that last note. By about 2:09, I was getting a bit tired of the whole thing, no offense. The percussion changed up, but never felt integral to the arrangement at any point, plus the melodic lead never changed up in the tone of the writing, leaving the depth of the arrangement lacking. Do something to fill out the track in the back. If it means more string work, then so be it, although the sample for those strings wasn't used as well as it could have been. Do something so that the melodic arrangement doesn't repeat so much. Bring new ideas to the table, bro, or it gets boring like it does now. Lots of potential here, Alex, but more work needs to be invested into this one. NO (resubmit)
