  1. So in an attempt at not being repetitive, I'm going to skip how fucking awesome the action scenes were and give some gripes i had about the film. The girl. Fucking hot, but not so much anything else. I think she delivered some of the most awkward lines, but then again i wasn't expecting Shakespeare or anything. I felt like a lot of the humor was forced, and the scene where the robots where trying to hide from Sam's parents was way to long. A funny shtick at first, but got old pretty fast. But like I said, I didn't see it for the dialog or in-depth character development, I saw it for the best fucking action sequences ever. And I was defiantly satisfied.
  2. With the popularity of the Wii, it makes sense that he's high up there, I voted for him. However, my obnoxious Harry Potter fandom has to interject... I'd Say JK Rowling is pretty effing influential. All Miyamoto has done is gotten a bunch of video game nerds to play more video games... (Note the sarcasm) Rowling said she didn’t set out to write a fantasy novel, it just ended up being that way, she doesn’t deny that its fantasy. And the generalization that only kids read Harry Potter is so over used. Yes, I know the majority of fans are children, but for a children’s book, it has an awful lot of adult fans.
  3. exactly four hours from now me and a butt load of friends are going to see it at our theatre. Looks super intence. I cant wait.
  4. QFT. Holy crap man. That is intence. That will be a night you'll never forget for sure. at my school, getting a copy of the master key is always the key to everyones senior pranks, but no one ever gets it so nothing ever happens... =( Of course this year, they also added security codes for every building, so that complicates things a bit...
  5. We're working on getting enough tires to do the flag pole thing. We want to get them all the way to the top and on all three. We're also planning on designating "lanes" and putting up street signs that say "Freshman Crossing" and underneath a picture of a squirrel. We’ve also got this big amphitheatre type thing in the middle of our school that we want to fill with something (Water, Jell-o, or something).
  6. So it’s sort of getting close to that time when these so called Senior Pranks start to appear. Ok, I suppose May and June are the time these things actually start happening, but it’s never too early to plan right? I was just wondering if any body had any good stories to tell about their own senior pranks or maybe any plans for future ones.
  7. Yes, please, for all our sakes, lets not get anybody started on how good (or not so good) that film was.
  8. Two high chained quickenings in a row does it for me... well sometimes. Emphasis on the high chained part.
  9. I should HAVE known this thread would never actually be about pie... =(
  10. That is true, but the early pies were only meat pies. They didn’t develop into the pies we know today until the early pilgrims couldn’t make their favorite pies because they lacked certain ingredients, so they started to use berries that the natives pointed out. That (as far as I could gather) was the birth of what we today consider pies. Before that, they were Pot Pies and Shepherds Pies. rofl
  11. That’s right, it’s January 23rd, and that means its National Pie Day. (It also means that it’s J.K. Rowling's youngest daughters 2nd birthday. Happy birthday McKenzie) Where did this day come from you ask? Well, Created by the American Pie Council, National Pie Day is dedicated to the celebration of pie. As part of our American heritage, this day is a perfect opportunity to pass on the love and enjoyment of pie eating and pie making to future generations. (Yes, there actually is an American Pie Counsel) Did anybody else celebrate today? I brought three pies to school to share with people like me, who truly appreciate this delicious substance.
  12. Agreed. I hope as we come closer to photorealistic graphics that developers will take a more artistic approach to games. Games like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are beautiful and I think those are games that would have been crap with out beautiful graphics.
  13. Does Scream count as a spoof movie. Cause that movie is funny as hell. Also, I liked the first Scary Movie, but as most sequels do, the kind of regressed... Then again, I was also about 13 when the first scary movie came out, so my opinion might be changed if I watched it again.
  14. I think its loads better then Half-Blood Prince. When I heard that one, I thought it was crap. Of course its grown on me now, and it just seems natural. I'm hoping the same happens with this one. On another note, any idea as to what the hell the title is referring to? I may be remembering wrong, but isn't like something Hallow the town where his parent's lived when they were killed by Voldemort? Harry's parents were killed at Godrics Hallow. So its fair to say that could be what its referencing to. Wow, good call. I apparently am not a big enough Harry Potter fan. Sorry, sir, but the place you're thinking of is Godric's Hollow. No dice. damnit, you're right. It doesn't help that half the news outlets made that mistake also. They said the Deathly Hollows. I also found it fascinating that she released the title on the solstice. In the fifth book, when all the prophesies break you hear random little snippets from two of them. When you put the two together, they say something to the effect of "On the solstice will come a new"... "and none will come after".
