  1. Sold! I already bought one of the tracks off itunes store but this offer seemed worth dabbling with the rest of them. Besides, on the UK itunes store buying four individual tracks from the album is about the same price as the entire album at $5. Grats on the selling out.
  2. A lot like Power Stone 2 indeed (ie awesome). I hope there's a freefalling level as in that game.
  3. If this is acceptable then I demand that someone does a mix of the music that was on the Sega Flash cds.
  4. Wow some of you guys sure are obsessing over these updates - and are disappointed nearly every time? Anyway I wonder whether it means you play the drums in time with the level music or if some music is overlaid when you do the final smash that you play to. Either way it sounds like a great idea, way more creative than, say, Mario's variation on 'big laser'.
  5. I would watch the first film then the SACs, give innocence a miss until you've done the rest. I have solid state society on my HD, but can anyone tell me if I should watch 2nd gig first? I've only seen 1st
  6. I love moving stages. IMO the skill to navigate a stage, being mindful of your surroundings and using them to your advantage, coping with random elements and so on are much more interesting skills than "oh look who has learned more combos with his character" or whatever. Radical dreamer i'm not sure if you were being sarcastic but the % of people who play for 'serious' competition must be very small indeed. EDIT: must admit i hated the ice climbers stage but loved poke floats. the only stages i didn't like were the ones where it was too dark to see what was going on, like DKs old stage.
  7. My favourite remix of all time isn't on OCR either. http://olremix.org/remixes/Ghetto_Lee_Lewis_-_Celes_My_True_Love.mp3 Also the first and only song I have ever listen to that makes me physically sick.
  8. It's not really anything like either of those genres. More like "intelligent supernatural thriller" or something like that. Also I think you'd like it even if you hated that kind of genre. So yeah, check it out.
  9. The more chrono cross acoustic albums out the better Think that's where I read it Ant, shame there's still been no news on it.
  10. I've heard it's due out this year, and that Yasunori Mitsuda's behind it, but does anyone know anything more about it? Was it cancelled? Brink of Time was awesome, gotta say I am anticipating this big time
  11. Did I mention how much I loved this series yet? Sure the Yotsuba arc lacked a little something, but that was more than made up for by eps 23-25, and yeah after ep 26 the show seemed to have lost something essential, but the ending really was terfically well done. Given that those last few minutes of 25, and the second half of 36 were some of the most tense in my entire history of tv series viewing, I'm more than willing to forgive the show for its shortcomings. I have every ep on my HD but heck yes I am buying the dvd when it comes out, crap dubbing and all. Anyone who liked Mamoru Myano's voice acting as Light might be interested in this translated blog entry he made on the last ep. Spoilers, of course. http://community.livejournal.com/death_note/1130923.html and the original blog: http://mycasty.jp/mamo/
  12. I must be one of the few non-tournament/'serious' players that really likes the manic, fighting-the-level-as-much-as-the-other-players moving stages that involve a certain amount of luck. They all look like pretty damn rad stages so far.
  13. Here's the bit from the manga. Spoilers, obviously
  14. Actually that's the really surprising bit of the last chapter that some people didn't get and I wish was left in as clearly as it was in the manga: everyone goes to nothingness, regardless of whether they wrote in the death note or not. Yes, everyone who writes in the death note cannot go to heaven or hell but neither can anyone else: heaven and hell don't exist, only Mu.
  15. I for one was very satisfied by the ending: I'd come to hate Light so I really wanted to see him lose. It's an improvement over the manga ending imo (even though the manga ending has some stuff it'd have been nice to see in the anime - the last conversation between light and ryuk, a proper rebuttal from near, the flashback to the hidden bit about heaven/hell in light and ryuk's first conversation) - it made me feel sorry for Light, even after everything, by reminding us that he had so much potential to do so much good for the world if he hadn't run into the note.
  16. My friend who was there said he heard some guys yelling "take your top off" to the people in the balloons. So retarded. Said it was great though.
  17. Ha my one ambition in life is to have, whenever it's rumoured I've done something bad, someone pipe up and say I'm "too much of a cool guy to do that". Though the word 'dude' would be preferred. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how professional's remixes compare with the communities. I know Jeremy Soule's was matched and surpassed by some community members here (that's not to say he isn't still the better musician for coming up with the original stuff he did) Oh and I hope too that that's actually a different track on the Cd from the one on here.
  18. What game remixes have you come across on the net that you're frustrated haven't been submitted to OCR for mass consumage? I have a few: Destiny - Veiled World Every time I hear this one I think of snow for some reason. Awesome, and in the words of the Disneyland adverts - "simply magical!" Download link: http://www.destiny-hikari.net/palace/Veiled_World2.mp3 Fatty Acid - Madame Balamb .mp3'>http://zelda.cleverdomain.org/~andrew/Fatty_Acid_-_Madame_Balamb(Final_Fantasy_.mp3 I think this one is either loved or hated. Can you guess which category I fall into? Zelda Swell Session's Remix Link (lolz): http://www.myspace.com/swellsession (just click the swell remix) Kinda reminds me of Fatty Acid's work. Kotaku linked to it recently and I think it's pretty okay! Anyone else got unsung favourites? FAKE EDIT: Sorry if this thread has been posted before, choosing search criteria for the topic was kinda difficult.
  19. If it was explained in at world's end I didn't pick up on it. It's all a bit fishy if you ask me, huh guys? Guys?
  20. I too found this film confusing. Maybe it's less confusing for people who remember the Dead Man's Chest plot? I didn't even remember who's heart it was in the chest. Anyway the Pristege's plot wasn't as hard to follow as this (in fact I'd say it wasn't hard to follow but anyway)
  21. I love how "the wrong way" is sung. It's so emo, as if he's totally despairing over the fact that time's going backwards. Awesome!
  22. I can't wait for dual quad-core processors to be commonplace either.
  23. I've read up to 79 in the manga (not all of it, just the stuff since about ep23 onwards) and I'm amazed by how much they've left out of the anime. The show seems really rushed. I am still enjoying it, however. I've magically somehow remained spoiler free for this series, though I did read something on the youtube comments section that I thought had completely ruined the series for me and it turned out to be reffering to the film version (which is pretty different from the manga/anime). On topic of music: I quite like N's theme. It's impossible to keep both that and L's theme in your mind at the same time, kinda like with the pink panther and james bond.
  24. VERY VAGUE SPOILERS ahead: Episode 25 has really split fans down the middle. On one hand it was so amazingly well done it has to be one of my favourite episodes so far, on the other I don't see how the show won't feel completely empty from now on. I just watched 26-29 in one sitting and I'm still making up my mind whether the show has or looks like it will get back onto its feet. One problem that a friend and I agreed on about it is that it seems like Light is just simply getting away with too much. Not in the sense that it's not believable but it seems to defy any sense of morality or justice, in a bad way. It has begun to feel a bit like a masturbatory exploration of how awesome and smart and lucky light is. There is no conceivable punishment enough for him. Though it could just be the one-sitting thing, the last few episodes felt very rushed, I heard 29 was in fact 7 manga chapters put together. The show has always been relentless, but it's seemed to lose a sense of pacing now. Still, it took me a while to warm to a Second Kira and Yotsuba, but I did. I'm hoping I might do to this too, but I have a feeling the only way I will is if something of what was lost in 25 manifests itself again in fashion, even though that's pretty much impossible.
  25. Coool, have you still got it? I looked on your site and could only see your main title remix.
