  1. I still have this for sale. Is anyone here interested in purchasing it?
  2. Yes; the top edge of the cover art is very slightly frayed. It has basically just sat in storage all this time. I have taken a closer picture of it for you:Top Edges The discs themselves and the inside booklet are in near-mint condition, however. The sheet music is basically perfect, sans the crease but as I said before it was sent to me (and I assume everyone else) like that. Due to the "damage" I am willing to compromise on price. Does $90 sound good?
  3. Hey Larry, thanks for responding. Considering its rarity, and the condition of the sheet music, I was hoping for at least $100 for something like this...but we can work something out if you're still interested.
  4. Hey all, it's been a while... I've been gone from these forums for at least a year or two... Anyway, I was looking through my stuff and I came across this copy of Project Majestic Mix Gold Edition. Yes, I donated to get these CDs created and now I'm selling it. And my name is even in the booklet. This copy is #858/1500. I also still have the Forever Rachel sheet music in mint condition (when it was sent in the mail, it was already folded in half) So, before I put it up on eBay, I was just curious: how much do you guys think this thing is worth? Thanks in advance. Pics at the bottom. (cue obligatory "I'll buy it at a high price" post) front back inside - disc 1 inside - disc 2 Forever Rachel Sheet Music P.S. Want to make an offer? feel free to PM me.
  5. Why has no one remixed Rave On yet!? Guess not enough played Killer 7 to give a damn. Seriously this is like one of _the_ songs to remix. It's baffling why no one has done it yet.
  6. Shameless self-promotion: We just released a new Metroid-themed podcast yesterday, called "Wave Beam." Episode 1 features Grant Henry, aka "Stemage" of Metroid Metal fame. We also discuss the OCRemix, "Kindred" for a few moments during this podcast. (around the 48" mark) Head on over to www.metroid-database.com and give it a listen!
  7. Just wanted to let you know... We discuss Kindred momentarily in the first ep of our new podcast, "Wave Beam." It happens around the 48:00 mark. Check it out at www.metroid-database.com!
  8. Hey there, Not sure if this has already been posted about, but I tried searching and couldn't find it. Boom Bip, a professional musical artist, mixed a section from the old Hyrule Symphonic album into a song called "Roads Must Roll." The part he sampled is from the track found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQhmlgINEZI and happens around the 1:48 mark. (It's the title screen of Zelda II) The track is excellent. The album is called "Seed to Sun." You can listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UojuA7v2bio This track came out 7 years ago, in 2002! Pretty awesome, eh? I'm sure there's other artists out there that are making money off of mixing video game or related music into their own music. Feel free to post your own!
  9. I'm definitely going to be there, I live just north of Dallas. I'll probably be hanging out with some Destructoid people. Are there any mad parties going on Fri. or Sat. night?
  10. Hey, I'm looking for a cheap copy of The Orange Box for PC if someone is willing to sell it... it'd have to have a working CD key and all that, of course. Thanks.
  11. There's ANOTHER 'Ocarina of Rhyme'!! You can find it here: http://ketchup-plz.blogspot.com/search/label/Sleaze It's way better than the other one because all the songs are original and all the rap is new. I don't like rap at all but this is some wickedly awesome shit! Definitely check out this one.
  12. OMG did you guys see the photoshopped image from one of the commenters in the article? Here's the link: http://www.nerdfellowship.com/archives/2497
  13. So I guess this means Sega's making a Mario game, right?? >_> http://pole.sega.jp/
  14. well whatever it is, guess we'll find out in 8 or so days... And no, I HIGHLY doubt it's a Zelda game. Just because it has a few triforce-like shapes doesn't mean it has anything to do with Zelda. You're jumping to conclusions.
  15. Uhhh yeah, if the new Zelda was going to be developed by Marvelous!? That doesn't make the slightest bit of sense...
  16. I watched these in order, and here's my reactions: SMB1: Cool, yeah I can see how that goes along with it, yeah great, he's doing a pretty good job. SMB2: Wow, yeah this one is even better, great semblance with the music, and he even adlibs at the end! SMB3: ZOMG THIS ONE IS INCREDIBLE I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW AMAZING IT IS OH MY GGOOOODDDDDD
  17. Memory cards can be good and bad. They are obviously on the way out, and I think a lot of developers didn't like them just for the fact that as you pointed out in your first post, too many people were just "taking their saves over to a friend's house to unlock everything." It was just too easy, I guess. (but awesome for people like me and you, who seriously don't want to have to waste hours of unlocking stuff to fully enjoy the $50-60 game we just purchased) As far as I know, the Wii can do this the easiest, however you have to figure out which game is which in the cleverly-named "private" directory on your SD card, make a new directory with a specific 4-character name, and then copy it over to your Wii's HD. I download game saves from GameFAQs all the time and do this method. It's pretty simple. There are plenty of popular, high-selling Wii games that will just *NOT* let you back up your Wii save using normal methods. (There are workarounds for these, however, but require modding/homebrew software of some sort) And I'm pretty sure the reason for this is due to your game save being attached to your internet profile or Wii Friend Codes. Any game that doesn't let you copy over your Save file has internet-related options in some form, and there is something on that save which prevents Nintendo or other companies from allowing others with the same game to use the exact same save file. (granted, they could have easily split whatever keeps people from backing up and the allowable data into two separate save files, but I guess that would have been "too easy," right? I'm thankful the Wii's memory card/SD system works the way it does, otherwise I wouldn't have had to sit through all the lame bullshit it takes to unlock all those art galleries, music and 4 (oooh) hidden characters in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom...
  18. All the tracks can be downloaded individually via the front page post on the MDb. Or you can also download them all as a .zip if you have a FilePlanet account. Enjoy! --Infinity's End c/o Metroid Database http://mdb.classicgaming.gamespy.com
  19. I don't now if anyone has already said this, but very likely it's both Metal Gear Acid titles ported to the 360.
  20. The Metroid Database (mdb.classicgaming.gamespy.com) would absolutely *love* to host this up on FilePlanet if you would like. Send me a PM if you want.
  21. just wanted to give a quick update/bump. IGN posted a video interview of SSFIIHDR and mentions OCRemix in a quick blurb. http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/900198/super-street-fighter-ii-turbo-hd-remix/videos/SSFII_HD_Review112008.html and written review here: http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/932/932803p1.html Could someone that downloads this game possibly post a screenshot of the credit for OCRemix(if any)?
  22. Two things I currently work on: shameless plug 1 shameless plug 2 You might want to read my "Woman Behind the Visor" feature I finished last week, too.
  23. I dunno... playing with the keyboard really f'n sucks and no controller support sucks even worse. I'm sure there's an app out there that allows me to convert the arrow keys to my controller, etc. but it should still have automatic controller support.
