  1. Ohh yeah, and it's awesome. It never came out in the United States so a PC emulator is about the only sound way you can play it these days. I'd highly recommend you check it out. Haha, what, you mean the Canti figurine from FLCL? I found that marked down three times at Suncoast a few years ago, but of course all of the ones in my neck of the woods had to go out of business. They had some cool merchandise.
  2. Also with the arrow keys on a keyboard I can never seem to do any hadouken type moves while facing right... It doesn't help that there's no diagonal arrow key, but for some reason I can pull them off facing left but never right. But of course the only fighting game I ever really play on an emulator is Gundam Wing: Endless Duel.
  3. I've seen it on other servers where if you point your reticle over the spray while standing close enough to the surface it was sprayed on it will tell you who sprayed it. Does anybody else know about this and know of a way to impliment it? This would help greatly with identifying these porn sprayers.
  4. Does [ZUZ]Vahn_Paktu know that spawn sticky camping is against the rules? Because on a handful of differnt occasions on Payload Dustbowl he was blatently sticky camping the spawn.
  5. These are pictures from my last apartment but I still have the same setup in my current one. Please excuse the crappy camera phone quality. Not pictured are my original Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance SP, and DS. There is just something about playing a game on it's original system that is just so much fun, and it brings back so many memories. A lot of people were raising the issue of having to rebuy all of their old games if they wanted to play them on the Wii, but that was never a problem with me because I still own most of my old games. I mean I never even use Slot 2 on my DS, when I want to play a Gameboy game I just pop it in my GBA SP instead. I've never liked PC emulators because it feels silly playing games on a keyboard, and the Wii Virtual Console is much better. The VC balances it out because you don't have to blow on carts or do any other tactics to try and get games to work, that and it has that instant save feature. I'm still wondering why Nintendo didn't just release little adapters so you can plug old controllers into the Wii remote... probably beacuse they wanted to push their new hardware, but still.
  6. Ohh wow, that was excellent, thank you for sharing! The bonus features are pretty hilarious as well, with Lakitu talking about taking the Shroom Ridge bypass if you want to make it to work before your timer runs out and saying how hard it is to get juice out of a cloud.
  7. The points system we have now worked great with an established database with a lot of people having several days worth of experience all added up but now it's a bit wonky... I still don't see why we needed to restart. Yeah well, Sensei, you were first place for a little bit but I reclaimed my position on top. ...Not that I care about place at all on the stats ladder or anything.
  8. You know while reading your post your Read or Die remix came up on random on my winamp, OverCoat. (I swear to god one of these days I'm going to kick this piece of shit out the window!) How long has it been since you removed the Seattle from your name anyway?
  9. People who whine and say that Brawl is not as good as Melee are really funny, not so much annoying as the no item guys, just amusing. Sure they changed a couple things I wished they didn't like removing Mewtwo and adding tripping but that doesn't make the game instantly bad. It's still practically the same game at it's core, but better since they removed some of the exploits like wave dashing and L canceling. Not to mention it has online play as well as a level editor. If you hate Brawl and still stick beside Melee then you're pretty damn stubborn and are really missing out on a fun game. What's wrong with randomness, though? Why does everybody say that's a bad part of a game? Items popping out of thin air to give your enemy an advantage in Smash Bros just means you have to adapt on the fly, making fights very fast paced with rich diversity as well as making for unique match-ups. Something like a well placed bob-omb throw can salvage a match, or ruin you even if you threw it, the other person could reflect it right back! In TF2 it's great being able to be an engineer and hunt down and crit shotgun a soldier popping around corners to take pot shots at your sentry and kill them quickly. How can you ever say it's not fun to have a crit rocket of yours fly halfway across the map and take out a careless sniper aiming for you? Not only that but a crit-less server would make desperation melee charges fall flat more often, and we'd get even less amusing melee usage. Removing items in SSBB or crits in TF2 peels away a whole layer of great variety that believe it or not can still work serious, competative play.
  10. This is coming from the guy who likes items off in SSBB, which removes the fun AND the strategy from the game.
  11. All talk can be fun sometimes... but people on this server don't know when to shut it off, if there are small teams or if the server is half full it's acceptable. When the game is full or near full there really isn't any reason to keep it on because it just kills the whole strategy aspect.
  12. Your signature is just about as flameworthy as your post.
  13. I live in the same area of Texas as you, cobalt, and I think Squidbillies is pretty amusing. Can't really say how being a Texan has shaped my opinion of the show but just the stereotypical southern accents make me grin even when they aren't delivering a punch line.
  14. Hancock was pretty bad... Also I've seen Iron Man 5 times already and I think I'll see it once more before it comes out on DVD on the 30th.
  15. This is pretty funny, although I would recommend turnining off annoitations the first time you watch it because they get obnoxious, but they're nice the second time around if you wanna hear more about the video.
  16. I think that my favorite show on Toonami had to be Gundam Wing, and their intros were so badas... that and the 4th DBZ intro that SnowStorm already posted was pretty awesome too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5x7AHjLhPWk&NR=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfvG_23J3kE
  17. Nono, not the entire percussion track... just a portion of it was shoes in the dryer. There's another song on there that had a sampling of a cat walking across a keyboard, as well... I'll see if I can pinpoint the song and then find a video to go along with it. But for now here is the completely freakin' awesome first promo for Big O. Ohh man this thing is like almost more awesome than the show itself it's so well done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iv5AQYEa7Zk EDIT: Okay, I found the song and it's called Informarion Leak. I know it was part of an intro for a show but I can't find a video of it... I think it was the original Gundam Wing intro, but even then you can't hear the cat on the piano in that sampling. I could only find a straight mp3 upload to YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsBdxVpUnS0
  18. After getting over the initial eye strain of adjusting to a movie that is 100% in focus this movie was just like eating delicious cake. Although I can see why other people would see this movie as a cheesy overload it is certainly not a departure from the anime. I remember watching this way back in the day when it first aired on Cartoon Network and thinking it was ridiculous but so endearing and watchable at the same time, and that is just how the movie is too. The insane design of the race tracks and the crazy car combat was the definition of a great popcorn flick, not to mention Matthew Fox played a really badass Racer X. I mean I even enjoyed the downtime because all of the characters were just so fun to watch, I've not been to a PG movie that had a more amusing villain than Royalton. How can you hate a movie that does a live action interpritation of the anime action lines backgrounds? Plus the sound of those wheeljacks on the Mach 5 was near orgasmic!
  19. TheSnowStorm, I remember that one... Spacetime, I think that's the name of the song that goes with it. That is pretty inspiring now that I look at the message instead of just naming all the shows and audio samples that come up like I always did on original run on TV. I thought this intro was just the most badass thing ever when I first saw it. The song is Prayer and I remember reading in the CD jacket that parts of the percussion track were recordings of shoes in the dryer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Witej4D9pEE
  20. Foster's Home for Imaginary friends was kind of a mixed bag if you ask me, it had some genuinely funny ideas as well as some bland ones as well... Well really most of the episodes were funny it's just a lot of them did not hold up well to replays. Overall though I'd definitely place it higher than the new shows like Chowder and Flapjack, and most of the time I'd continue to tune in if I heard that familiar kazoo in the intro.
  21. Ohh man... my teenaged memories are totally shot now. Gundam Wing, Robotech, Reboot, DBZ, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo, and Big O. All of those shows were like the foundation of my life at the time, ohh and who can forget the awesome Intruder segment? I remember being totally blown away when the original Tom model was killed, I was so invested in it especially for a tiny little CGI short. I also remember voting for the winning engine design for the Absolution, too. I liked the little intro music bits that I actually ordered the Deep Space Bass Toonami CD, and that's like one of only 5 CDs I've ever bought for myself. Heh, I mean I found the audio for this and put it on one of my CDs, with the narriation and all. Such fond memories... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIHhr0S0dAU RIP Toonami, it was a good run and you will be missed.
  22. But only for one more season, apparently Adult Swim will only produce any show for 52 episodes and then that's all she wrote.
  23. Bunch of whiners complaining about crits, if you get killed by a crit shot it's just part of the game, not lucky or random. It's almost like I don't notice getting killed by a crit anymore, I mean that's how little it matters when I get hit by one and die. I mean besides just being really saitsfying blowing somebody away with your own crit, it makes for interesting fights. Taking down a heavy after charging him as an engie out of frustration with the wrench is just awesome. Soldier and demo crits I can understand getting upset about sometimes but scouts and engies? They're so weak that if they didn't crit so often they'd lose everytime in a fight. No crits is just lame, all crits are fucking stupid. The crits how they are right now are perfect. Don't like crits? Go play Counter-Strike or something.
  24. Yeah I read that somewhere else concerning GG2 but I wasn't sure if that was the official name or not so I left it out.
