OverClocked After Dark - The Former Thread of Days of Yore

OH OH IT'S MAGIC!! We got recording tonight!! Dyne is gonna be on too. Someone Call Joshua Moorse so we can shoot the shit aboot his album!! Tell him that we want to spoon too, but he doesn't have too if he feels it's gonna be weird. We are trying desperately to get ANOTHER SOUNDSCAPE to join us on an episode, but he seems to have this whole time sync issue. Fishy has said that he would provided we extend him 20 pounds, two pints of Guiness, and an asian college girl. The money and the girl are good to go, but the Guiness is prooving difficult to find. DJP has expressed interest in coming on, but he has stated that we have to plug his new book "Sandbody Raves and Hillbilly Rodeos: The Story of One Pretzels Journey to the Top of Internet Glory." Slave driver... We are gonna change how we record this episode. As an experiment, we are gonna introduce a song, and then listen to it in real time, and then have a discussion about it. Still not live mind you, but we are stepping in that direction. Remember to leave us a massage via Skype, so that our poor little backs may feel better. -

So with this new album dropping, ya'll can expect a new episode devoted entirely to the subjects of Castlevania, OverClocked ReMix, and Handfat. Remember to leave your messages via Skype at overclocked_after_dark. Also do remember that we have a site coming as our third guy gets done moving to Atlanta. So we may not have him on for next week. Dyne by far makes up for it. -
Dance Dance Revolution She's dressed in yellow, she says "Hello, Come sit next to me you fine fellow." You run over there without a second to loose. And what comes next, hey bust a move.

Tentative future guest include Judge Fishy, site founder DJ Pretzel, and very many other guests that will blow your mind. Episode 2, entitled Handfat, will be rrecorded next week on Wednsday. New episode should be out by Friday or Saturday. We are gonna see how this pans out for weekly episodes. More news to come!! -

I said it a couple of pages ago, you are either gonna love this, or hate it. Now that we have cleared out the ReMix queue, we can give it some more structure. The main goals of Episode 1, was to clear out the queue and to see if we could actually do this. Having met both goals, I'd say that this was a huge success. In the future, the show will be around 20-40 mins range, have more focus, and attempt to not trail of the path. As for the reception, both good and bad, we really do appreciate all feedback. More to come soon. -

I will give you some in game voice from me. Then I will finally be posted. Life will be good. Though I do like this WIP Andy. It has a hardcore in Da Club feel to it. Though it doesn't follow the source tune as much as I would like it, it sounds great.

Ok So I gots the game. Imma give you the good and the bad. First and foremost, this is a Beatmania game for America. What I mean is the Crippling difficulty of the Bemani Beast is toned down a bit. That don't mean this game is a pushover though. The addition of the Crossfader makes for some fun and exciting play, but will have you screaming at points cause the window for moving it can be very small. The controller itself is still loose, like the demo at best buy. I was rather dismayed that there was no way to tighten the turn table, as scratching tends to spin the turntable a bit outta hand if you aren't careful. It seems they fixed the Crossfader. It is a lot tighter than it Best Buy counter part. The song selection is great, and alot of the mashups I was apprehensive aboot ended up sounding really good. I would buy an OST of the entire setlist, if one such was available. The David Bowie songs kinda suck though, and that makes me sad. Gameplay is like any rhythm game, match the color and position and what not, and again it seems like it was cleaned up and made alot tighter from it's Best Buy brethren. Badside of things, there a graphical glitches in several places, though they aren't too detrimental to the game, as they are background animations and such. There are aboot 10 songs that suck anus. Price is outrageous, but if you buy the special edition, you end up getting a very nice case and stand, which I might add is the first peripheral that is Brushfire Height Approved!! Finally the lack of customizable avatars that plague the Hero series is around again. Also to Unlock Daft Punk I had to play for nearly 4 hours. Clever bastards... Over all, if you have the coin to buy the game, get it. It is a lot of fun to be had if you are into the rhythm game scene. It is no replacement for Beatmania IIDX 16 or anything, but it is the best America can hope for.

VGDJ: The Official OCR Podcast - show pushed back to 10/24
Brushfire replied to Jillian Aversa's topic in General Discussion
Here is my take on the whole situation. Zirc and Pixie are extremely busy folks. They have a lot going on. Therefore aren't able to record as much as they'd hope to. So I am branching out to create a new OCR Community Podcast. Me, Level99, and Epicenter are going to create a more laid back podcast for all to hear. I am not going to leave VGDJ if it is to continue, but as of right now, no one from the Aversa side of camp has said anything to me on the subject matter. With our first episode, we are gonna clean out the remix queue so that everyone gets equal airtime, as if they had just submitted their respective works. Until one of the other two say anything on the subject, VGDJ is still alive. I am going to do a sorta solo project with me and my mates. If they wish VGDJ to continue, I am still on board. Much Love from The Brushfire. -
Send a PM to Epicenter713. He has more knowledge aboot Nintendo Family Coms than I care to mention. If you do PM him, let me know, so that I may tell him that he has a PM. (He is socially inept about things that postdate 1989)
