  1. I played single player for a few hours today, a bit less with two player, and a group of friends and I are going to be trying out four player tomorrow, but just the two player mode by itself is probably my favorite co-op gaming experience, and I can't even imagine how good four players will be. And this is all coming from someone that thought the game looked pretty boring at E3.
  2. Speaking of the soundtrack, anyone see this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9JcI5LQvYc I came.
  3. I formally apologize for my inborn OCR forum inadequacy; topic title change'd.
  4. Mr. Mime and his soulless, all seeing, all knowing stare says hi. Or he would if he could say anything aside from creepily muttering his own name into the nightmare hearts of our children.
  5. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pokemon.co.jp%2Finfo%2Fgame%2Fg090508_01.html&sl=ja&tl=en&history_state0= How awesome is this? No wait I'll answer that for you - so awesome.
  6. I have to agree with a lot of his complaints on Chinatown Wars, namely getting a wanted level pretty much everytime I jack a car; really annoying. On the flipside, I thought the touchscreen stuff was absolutely great and made the game even more fun. When I'm playing a DS game that uses both the buttons and touch screen I usually just keep the stylus in my hand the whole time, so having to pull it out all the time wasn't a problem (that's what she said). Great game though.
  7. They pulled the whole glowy blue penis thing off rather tastefully. If you're going to not see the movie because of something like that, don't see it for the part where Nite Owl and Silk Spectre have sex; it is hands down one of the worst sex scenes of all time. When naked Malin Akerman can't salvage that kind of scene, something is horribly, horribly wrong. Blue penis conundrums aside, Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach has to be one of the best casting decisions ever made. The rest of the movie could have sucked (thankfully it didn't), but it was worth the price of admission just for Rorschach alone.
  8. I would say start with FireRed/LeafGreen, the GBA remakes of the originals, and if you like those then get Platinum whenever that comes out for the DS. There's not much reason to get the third generation games (Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald) unless you're just really, really into the games. As for Gold/Silver/Crystal, they're my personal favorites in the series, but I would suggest holding out for the inevitable DS remakes; the battery packs on both my Japanese Silver and English Gold have been dead for years.
  9. I'd be happy if they just went back to releasing more than one game a week.
  10. Tevin Campbell as in, Powerline from A Goofy Movie? Holy shit yes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sjAb-qYflE&feature=related
  11. Even though Super Paper Mario wasn't as good as either of the two previous games in the series, it was still great. Tons of lol-worthy moments, particularly chapter 3. The only real complaints I have with the game are pretty minor, like having to switch to Mario all the time just to flip dimensions. Still, it's a fun game, and definitely deserved more love than it got, even if the floating around in space parts of chapter 4 were really lame. If point and click puzzles are something you like, or think you might, Zack and Wiki is freaking amazing. I think you can get it for like 10 bucks now, so yeah, definitely worth it. I had some fun with Elebits when it first came out. Definitely not worth the full price I paid for it, but assuming you can get it on the cheap now you might want to consider it. The concept of the game is very simple but still pretty fun, and if nothing else the soundtrack is really quite nice.
  12. Missing sliding I can understand (I know I sure do), but charging? Yeah, not so much. From Mega Man 4 on it was like just keep your buster constantly charged lest you want to frook yourself over. Seemed really needless to me and took away from the whole experience, which is a big reason why I stopped liking the games after 3. I am glad that Proto Man is getting both those techniques though, just for the sake of making the same game play completely different.
  13. Judging by the preview during The Office tonight, his storyline leads to finding...wait for it...more paintings of the future! Oh Heroes writers, you shockingly brilliant people you, I await with bated breath to see what fresh new ideas that haven't already been done in both of the prior seasons you're able to pull from the deep, dark depths of your imaginations next.
  14. So Meta Knightmare Ultra was pretty cool. He was almost as buffed in this as he is in Brawl.
  15. Spider-Suresh was so unintentionally hilarious, I loved it.
