  1. Both Mario and DK were taunting while the text boxes were open. The animation is still in.
  2. It might be possible that the game that is mentioned near the end of this article is a FFVII remake. Though I'm not crossing my fingers.
  3. Oh man, this is just amazing. Time to fire up FFVII PC and replace the regular MIDIs with these.
  4. They're back? Unexpected. Captain Falcon, where are you?
  5. zomg SPECULATION. Maybe we will have an Animal Crossing character after all.
  6. More like, the boom box! Or, going back to DKC 1, he throws his hat on the floor and jumps on it, triggering shock waves that send opponents flying.
  7. It seems like you converted it correctly. Make sure that you have the saves that you want loaded up in the memcard submenu of ePSXe.
  8. Something like this, maybe: as long as you command the Pokemon to jump, the trainer will jump as well in order to stay alive. We'll have to see for ourselves just how bad the consequences are for staying in one character for too long. If they turn out to be pretty severe, then there might not be a good Zelda/Sheik comparison.
  9. Google PSXMemTool. Converts between .gme (which most gamefaqs files use) and .mcr (which ePSXe uses).
  10. I started with the first series and haven't regretted it. In terms of recommendations, both of the series are good. I think I liked the first one more, though I may be biased because of the crazy long wait time between the last few subbed eps of 2nd GIG. Innocence wasn't that great, and while I haven't seen the first film, it doesn't seem too appealing. I'll watch SSS eventually.
  11. Quest for Glory. One of the better quest series.
  12. Good thing the special event given is at 8 P.M. Saturday. A time like 10 AM Mon-Fri would cause mass failings of school, work, and the global economy. Based on the hype this game is getting.
  13. It might be a wavedash, but I wouldn't think they'd show an "advanced" move in a trailer to the game. Might Wario's alleged "wavedash" have something to do with the fact that the terrain is sloped where he lands? We've seen that crates can slide--maybe characters can, too. Or perhaps the friction on the incline is really low.
  14. zomg Tingle in Smash. zomg. I'd probably use him all the time. If the world goes to hell and Cloud is in Smash, he should be made the worst character ever. First, he should be the wheelchair-bound (unusually) messed-up Cloud. Not the other kind. Secondly, his battle routine would just be uttering random words, depending on what buttons you press. This would make people quiet down about putting FF characters in Smash for a while.
  15. I'm pretty noobish at Guilty Gear, but it's a lot of fun. Buy the PS2 version, even if it's more expensive. No one I know has it for the X-Box.
  16. Star Ocean 1. The graphics were absolute top notch for the SNES, but everything else was sub-par. Till the End of Time was pretty good, though this first installment was a disappointment.
  17. Serious business (in addition to GITS SAC and Death Note, both of which are good): Mushishi Ergo Proxy (haven't seen this though) Serial Experiments Lain Seriously serious business: Pugyuru Cromartie High School Though Haruhi is neither serious, dramatic, sad, nor epic...
  18. "Sex kick" is the neutral aerial A.
  19. I think it's possible to balance a game while retaining the uniqueness of each character. Case in point (working off of my limited experience with fighters): Guilty Gear. Each character is vastly different than the others, yet the game is considered to be one of the more balanced fighters out there.
  20. What'd I'd really like to see in the game, more than new characters, levels, items, or even updated graphics, is a more balanced system. For example, being a Link player, it's annoying to get screwed by Sheik over and over again (a person who wrote up a Link guide on Smash Boards puts the matchup as 8-2). As much as I like the King of All Cosmos, this is really what I want to see. While the effects of imbalances diminish a little at higher, tournament play levels, at n00b levels (which, frankly, most players are at, including myself), these imbalances are frustrating. Also, thanks for reminding me about Kamek. I was indeed referring to that specific Magikoopa, though it's been a while since I've played Yoshi's Island, so I forgot the name.
  21. Ace Combat Zero was pretty good. I think that most of the complaints stem from the fact that AC 0 failed to break as much ground as AC 5 did, which in turn did less than AC 4. All three of these games are at least worth playing, if not buying. I thought that the trailer for AC0 was neat, though I'm probably the only one who thinks so.
  22. Any of these would make a truly EPIC game: Phoenix Wright The King of All Cosmos GENO The Postman from Majora's Mask Magikoopa Not that I expect to see any of these. BTW I heard that Cheese Weapon is a secret character. Well, until now, that is...
  23. The GBA version is quite good. Sound quality seems a little worse, but it's not really bad enough to be an issue. The advantage of GBA portability more than compensates for this. Besides, as has been said already, it's FREAKING FFVI. Easily the best RPG on the SNES, and one of the best Final Fantasies. So buy it.
