  1. Scott P does it again. I really enjoyed his other Link's Awakening remix, very different, but lovely work here as well that still holds up on my playlist. 😎 Big yes to the funk
  2. Yesssss. Great NES adventure game for its time. Unique setting (if you couldn't tell from the title), creative and interesting game play (again, for its time). As for the remix, the quirkiness definitely matches the source. As with the game, it may not appeal to everyone, but count me as a fan that still appreciates this mix when it comes up on the playlist.
  3. A low-key remix that snuck up on me after a few listens and still hangs out in my playlist. Very smooth, although I'm not a fan of the static. Still, an early remix that still holds up for me πŸ‘
  4. Simple but effective, this remix still holds up for me. Agreed that it improves as it goes on, but the simplicity kinda sets that up to work. Also agree that the ending is too abrupt, but otherwise πŸ‘
  5. I'm wondering if that video ever got made! Regardless, this piece is still hanging out on my playlist. Great take on the source, always a pleasure to listen to this smooth tune
  6. Great use (and mix) of the source tunes that still holds up. As others have said, it could be longer, but this remix creatively displays some of the ambience of Samus's journey within its short runtime.
  7. A personal fave and permanent resident on my playlist all these years later. The source selections, transitions, sound effects, the beat...πŸ‘πŸ‘ Stellar timeless (IMO) example of early OCR
  8. Agreed with Marmiduke, although I actually tried listening to this song several times on repeat and it leads in and out to itself quite nicely. You gotta be a fan of that backing tune, right from the source, and I really am. Nice remix that still hangs out on my playlist.
  9. An older remix for sure, from style to production, but I still like the take on the source. I like the vocals, and the remix gives me Parasite Eve vibes, so thumbs up!
  10. You never know what kind of gold you'll find in that AM wilderness out there! Truly unique remix that is still on my playlist. The intro is a lovely (tiny) portion of early OCR.
  11. Great remix from a great source, well selected! Still filling out the weirdly wonderful on my playlist.
  12. Well said, chill with intensity. An oldie but still a regular on my playlist for its ability to transport me with the soundscape
  13. Not my favorite genre, and yes it's repetitive, but it does a good job with the source and it just...works! Very easy to listen to, IMO, and still on my regular playlist in 2024
  14. Agreed. Not a whole lot added to the source, but the remix itself still has me bippin' and boppin' in 2024!
  15. Another classic MkVaff that continues to live on my playlist. Not a fan of how one prominent effect has aged, but overall it fades away into the loveliness of the rest of the remix. Speaking of fading, I also agree that the ending could have been drawn out a bit more.
  16. Not the craziest mix, or the most technically impressive, and it does feel too short, but damn it's so easy to listen to. The beat plays on, even after all these years. πŸ‘Œ
  17. I agree that it still holds up. Great energy, great work on improving upon the source. Classic MkVaff
  18. Still a regular on my playlist. Another early remix that sticks heavily to the source, and some of the instruments may sound dated, AND it's too short, but there's more than enough going on to still take me back to that factory of evil. Maybe I should use this as my alarm...πŸ‘Ί
  19. Still enjoying this remix! At first the change midpoint threw me off, but after a repeat listen I got over that quick. This tune actually makes me think of the Serpent Trench in FF6, itself also a great source. Regardless, good stuff, great energy 😎
  20. Great remix that still rocks (blasts?). Tracks that focus on electric guitars aren't usually a draw for me, but this tune won me over long ago. As mentioned, too short! Regardless, good stuff 🀘
  21. The chill is still going strong on my playlist. Classic game, classic remix 😎
  22. Been listening to this track for a long time. May stick close to the original, but the source is great and I've always enjoyed the additional depth this remix adds. πŸ‘πŸ‘ΎπŸ‘
  23. STILL grooving 😁 Great chill track that is still on the regular playlist. Another great tune by MkVaff. Tight production, lovely flow, a short ending (as has been said) but a real gem.
  24. Another great MkVaff track that holds up over 20 years later. Great work adding to the source, and the technical skills still shine through. Makes me want to take another trip into that damn volcano!
  25. Over two decades later and this track still holds up beautifully! It does stick close to the source (which is great on its own!), but this remix deserves to continue flying up in those icy peaks.
