  1. It was definitely Secret of the Mana... I'd heard a remix of it one of the songs (which I haven't been able to find again), with the OCR link attached in the name, and so I came to the site, got hooked, lurked for the music, and now I'm back to try contribute something of my own that doesn't suck too bad!
  2. except myself and most of the mid-20's folks i know. but hey, not everyone can have good taste in music. for clarification however, this last album of theirs blew my buttocks. thanks for the link, being as i'm one of those FL newbish folks, and its interesting to see how other people work. howe'er... the maker of the vid let things get a little redundant, but hey, can't complain about free stuff.
  3. This song is amazing! I'm loving the upbeat 80's euro-style, and you can never, NEVER go wrong with great female vocals overlaying electronic music. Reminds me of the good 'ole better days listening to this! I really wish I could save this song, I'd definitely rock it in my car all the time, its great driving music too! EDIT: i'm an idiot, you CAN download the song!! VICTORY X10!!! also, in the future.. if you need hosting space, please please please let me know - the ads on that site are ridiculously annoying!
  4. I've noticed that a lot of the music I work on with my desktop sounds complete different on other speakers (my home stereo or car speakers)... so I can see just now listening to it that the levels are off, but what I really want is some input or suggestions on how to better fill this song out, maybe a direction or something like that. I know its pretty empty in its current form, there's no fading, etc, but I've only had FL for about a month, and I can't figure out how to work with envelopes and such yet. Thanks much in advance! EDIT: whee... I bet a link would help. (Right click and 'Save As...') Deep (WIP)
  5. sounds like you're doing an audio clip recording.. i noticed that typically happens with a stardard wav file. so when you're recording, its possible that using something like Edison isn't the best choice. this is all figurative though... you can't get it record like a regular MIDI input (like a drum pad) where it just counts off the time signature then begins recording your key presses? if you're doing that, it should translate directly into the piano roll... i'll try and help as much as possible, i need to setup my Yahama keyboard with FL7 as well and maybe see if i run into similar problems.
  6. Bump 'o the month.. I'm going to give this a shot, see if I can produce something that isn't entire crap. Does anyone have the desire to collaborate on Key Cavern (22/96)?? Also, I scanned through several pages, but... there's 96 of them (same number of songs in the chip for this game!), but it's tough to find a good list of the WIPs released so far. I wanted to make sure I was writing something close to what's been done and wasn't going off on some tangent. Any chance we could get an edit on that first post in this thread with the WIP links? If hosting is needed, I can provide...
  7. I don't think there was a single track on the release that didn't appeal to at least one of my musical tastes... I was seriously astounded by the quality and worksmanship that went into the project, and the result was nothing short of amazing. Some of the artists I picked out as having more than one song I liked, I think deserve some mention... zircon, bLiNd (name stealer ), Sixto Sounds, pixietricks, Tweek, and Steffan Andrews. I really enjoyed the songs that incorporated a guitar, and many of the rearrangements that had a lot of orchestral sections added for a more powerful sound were incredible. Congrats to all who devoted their time and talent into the project, I hope to be able to assist in something such as this in the future.
