lol. I had a good mind to, but...no. The little guy is family and I'd never hurt him. Just don't think it didn't cross my mind ~_~

Hey man, I'd love to help start up a project. I've got nothing but my voice, and maybe a little too much persistance, but I'm dying to start a little something of my own, and the only way to do that is with someone else's help. When you're ready to start, you know where to find me.

I remember the week I lost my DS. My neice and nephew were visiting, and I quickly realized that my then five year old nephew was both a packrat and a habitual liar. He grabbed stuff from all over the house and hoarded it in his bed. By the time he'd left, my DS was nowhere to be found (he was playing with it quite often, even erased my New Super Mario Bros file (I was on world 8...world phucking 8!!)

Anyone remember this commercial for Sega? It took place on an airplane, with the stewardess handing out pleasantries. What commercials can you remember that made you chuckle with amusement, Sega or otherwise? 80's, 90's, and today's

The old games I still can't play. I prolly wouldn't get further than World 6 on the original Mario Bros...we're talking avoiding the secret warp pipes, too. These days all I can do to officially reminisce is collect the original soundtracks ô_ô

Awesome thread! I know I've mentioned a few times before, but I've been married to my wife since December 29th of last year, and our anniversary's comin' up fast. Heh, I remember a lot of people laughed when I tried to do the dialogue from Lover Reef at the reception. I can usually get the words right but I don't usually sing in front of a crowd, I messed up most of the male lyrics ><

I've heard great remixes of this song already, but I'd really like to hear a Latino version. It's always sounded that way to me in my mind. I'm thinking a quick-paced song, with or without lyrics, it doesn't matter. http://www.soahcity.com/music/1994_sonic_the_hedgehog3_and_knuckles/index.php

What video game character does your life most represent?
MechaFone replied to MechaFone's topic in General Discussion
Lighten up, man. This thread is for fun. What use are threads for then: Philosophical pursuits, informative pursuits, making fun of people AND having fun! Hell, didn't you read mine? I AM like Mario. I work with plumbing stuff at times. You think I don't suck that shit out of the pipes sometimes? This thread is for folks looking to add a little humor to their lives. If you don't like it, approve of it, or even have a life that in someway or another resembles that of -someone- you know in a video game (even Toad's gotta have a doppleganger out there) then maybe you should look for a different thread instead of bashing it. -

I dunno, it looks pretty successful from where I'm standing. -
Ho-ho! I'm-a looking forward to seeing this project when it's complete. The Mario 64 soundtrack is one of my favorites, I've had in my possession an original copy of the soundtrack since 1996, in mint condition.

Wow. These are some awesome stories I'm hearing, fellas. The question this thread poses is 'what was the definitive video game that made you want to seek out video game music?'

I actually tried that! I got like a quarter of the way through. I'll go for a run and see if that helps = \ -
Okay. This is just to get to know you guys a little better, mmkay? For me, it took a long time to actually become a gamer, if you could even call it that. Way back in '87 or '88, my brother and I were gifted with a Nintendo, brand new and oh so shiny. We played old classics like TMNT, the arcade version. Unlike my brother, I never got too far on any one game, save for Rampage. I wasn't a good gamer, no matter how many hours I put into practice. Even Sonic kicked my ass when my parents got me a Genesis. It wasn't really until about 11 years back when I got a 64 for my birthday. I was truly born as a gamer that day, when I put in Mario 64 and I was actually -good- at it. Then there was OOT. God, the memories. Those two put me on the map in the gaming world, it brought me into a whole new world filled with the most gorgeous music, and I wanted more, which brings me to OC. Thank God for you guys. Thank God for plumbers and mute, angst-filled elves.

Ha! Ha-ha ha! Ten freakin' posts! Booyah! Well, techincally, this makes 11. Sh*t, it's no longer an even number! What have I done?! -=runs screaming into the forest of illusion=- -
I didn't. I didn't even make it to the last level...then again, I was 6 and my brother was 9. You can't really expect a child who can't even bring himself to throw the controller at the screen every f***ing time he finds out his efforts have all been directed in rescuing a stupid retainer to actually make it that far ><

Okay guys, this one's just for kicks. My life most represents Mario, for I am a lowly custodian. Every single night, I clean out the bathrooms. I even get down on my knees and I scrub the hell out of those toilets. No wonder Mario's running around murdering every mushroom in the kingdom. He's working out years of stress and frustration!

If one is looking for comedy -=not sure how relevent it is at this point, heh=- I would go for some of the old classics-Hot Shots!, part Deux, Brain Donors or Top Secret!. Also, the Airplane! movies moved my testiclites to joy.

Hey, I just thought I'd help get to page 1000.

OCRA-0009 - Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream
MechaFone replied to zircon's topic in Album Reviews & Comments
I haven't been able to seed on my computer, it never works or I can't figure it out. >< Anyway, I've got the entire soundtrack on my computer and I listen to a different song every day. In my opinion, it's the best album that's been produced from the wonderful remixers on this site. I made a copy of the soundtrack, and I gave it to the school that I work at. How's that for seeding?? It should be heard by over a thousand ears by the time the school year is over with ^.~ -
Pixietricks' Solo Album, Origins - New Song 12/23!
MechaFone replied to Jillian Aversa's topic in General Discussion
Damn! If I'd been here sooner I'd have seen this post, and if I had, I'd have wanted to get in on some of the action. If there's still an opening there, I'd most definitely be interested. I don't have much to offer besides my mediocre<-sp? voice, but to lend a hand would be a dream come true. -
Nyahahah! Real Brother Relationship, oh god. I think I woke up everybody in the house...
