  1. Well... I haven't heard back from Sleepy Emp since after I posted the first verse...
  2. Yup. Anyway, three days left!
  3. The voting period will last one week (once I've hosted everything). That's enough time, right? I know people might get busy around the holidays, so in order to make sure all the entrants remember to vote (a rule I stated in my first post), those who do not will be disqualified. ^_~ /me cracks da whip Gotten a couple entries so far, and they're sounding good! Can't wait to hear what everyone else comes up with. One week is best, since people tend to procrastinate if given two.
  4. Alrighty. This is the last week to work on it. Also, if you have it done already, feel free to send it to me.
  5. If it's based on the music from the movie, though, it would not, technically, be valid.
  6. This ought to be interesting. There seem to be a lot of people willing to participate. Cool.
  7. I certainly seem to find those times without much problem...
  8. Yeah. It's really hard with classical music to make it loud enough without peaking and still maintain the variety in dynamics. It's something that I'm still trying to figure out. In general, though, is there anything else besides length?
  9. And I'll have my response ready and waiting. "Yes, I did sing that song once, but I didn't inhale." You would be correct, sir. Also, it's very likely that they EQed the original, but that doesn't mean I can't do it. It doesn't take very much to fill up a large auditorium will my voice.
  10. Just so we're perfectly clear, beyond this project, I'm never singing this song again! http://www.warnerpacific.edu/personal/kkeyn/music/Conkers_Bad_Fur_Day_-_Sloprano_Swears_Verse_1_Acapella.mp3
  11. Aw, look. A button-nose...
  12. Cool. I'm glad to see you guys are interested. I look forward to what you'll come up with.
  13. What of those who've yet to have a chance to prove themselves? Should a project be so exclusive as to be only run by those who've ran them before? Perhaps there's someone out there who's just as good as zircon and just as organized as Geoffrey Taucer, who you and I may know nothing about. Without giving him/her a chance to show that, you've already laid judgement on his/her ability to run a site project.
  14. I can understand that kind of frustration, but that kind of attitude might keep someone from creating something that might actually be worth it. So what if there's a lot of projects going on right now? Most will probably die off anyway. Did Beethoven say, "Oh, there's a lot of music already out there. I'll just wait until it dies down a little before writing anymore."? (Not to say that this idea is comparable to the importance of Beethoven) It's one thing to not want that many projects going on and to even work out ways to limit the amount, but to go around to threads say things like, "OMFG, thar's tOO much Porjects!!!" (clearly an exaggeration) is like telling Beethoven to shove his music up his ass cause Mozart already did his thing and we don't need anymore of it.
  15. That should hardly be a reason not to do a project. There's only about, what, twelve songs per game (if you don't count the fact that some of them are the same in both games). Plus, maybe, a battle theme and a boss theme here and there is not that much at all. At maximum (which I doubt would happen), you'd be looking at 25-30 tracks. More than likely, it'd be around 15-20 tracks. I would've expected better of you. So, just like that, you'd keep people from being creative and productive. To be completely honest, I'm thoroughly disappointed in the manner in which people have been responding to this. This isn't even an official thread for a project and you attack it like it's al-Quida headquarters. Grow some balls and be considerate people for once.
  16. Uh, but is that project geared the same way the other remix projects have been? Or is it along the same lines as OLR, as a site?
  17. Yeah. He sent me a PM with the track. I replied asking what he had in mind.
  18. I know there's a lot of Zelda64 mixes (but there were a lot of Chrono Trigger mixes, as well) on OCR, but, as far as I know, not all the songs have been done and certainly very few from MM. Are there any MM songs done on OCR even? I'm really surprised none of the songs from MM have been rearranged, particularly things like Song of Healing. Therefore, I also think an MM project would more welcome then a OoT project. The reason I suggest a combination is because of how much the songs cross over and the fact that I don't think there'd be enough songs in just MM alone. Collectively, it could be a really cool thing.

  20. I am rather surprised that there hasn't been a Zelda 64 project set up yet (that I know of), considering the accessibility of the songs. Anyway, I was thinking that perhaps a project could be started based on the ocarina songs from both OoT and MM. We could include boss themes and whatnot as well, but it would be mainly based on the songs, since most of the music in the games are directly related to the songs. Is this something that's of interest to anyone else? Is it possible? Any suggestions? Please note that my posting this am I necessarily volunteering to run the thing. I can if that is so desired, but, otherwise, that position is up for grabs... {edit} - Also (as a note to any mods), if this is something that is being done already, feel free to delete this thread...
  21. Hey as long as you can pull it off in a voice similiar to Robin Beanland's booming opera accent and not make the track sound like a dance mix, I'm good with whatever you do. If you need another "joke" boss, well the only one I can think of off the top of my head right now is a guy from Mother 3/Earthbound 2 and most likely, not everyone's gone to the lengths of importing it like I have so I don't want to deal out spoilers or anything like that. Booming opera I can do, as I am a trained vocalist... dance, I cannot.
  22. I've played Conker's Bad Fur Day, so I do know what you're talking about. I don't mind singing about fecal matter, I'm just concerned that people are going to be a little worried with all the swearing, particularly since I do my recording on campus...
  23. Any chance of adding LeChuck from the Monkey Island series? If so, I'd do that mix...
