  1. I think after being demoted twice, I'm going to have to follow suit.
  2. For like the 4th time being said, NI's Black Friday sales don't include Komplete. I wouldn't have bought Kontakt for $200 if I could buy Komplete for $250. I'm not that stupid.
  3. I think the rationale for the idea is good but the idea itself could use a lot of work, for reasons provided above.
  4. URF mode is supposed to be broken. It's a god damn April Fools joke.
  5. Again, you can not buy Komplete for $250. They don't discount Komplete, ever.
  6. You can't buy Komplete for $250. You can only crossgrade, which is $200 during the half-off upgrade/crossgrade summer sale.
  7. Check the cost of the library itself. If it's anywhere under $150, you're not likely to see Kontakt player support. By the way, guys, I highly recommend buying Kontakt at the black friday 50% off sale for two pretty good reasons: 1. You get Kontakt for $200. That other $200 can go to your favorite non-licensed libraries. 2. If you buy Kontakt for $200, you can also buy the half-off crossgrade to Komplete during the summer for $200. That's the latest Komplete for $400, about $100 off of Komplete full price through some clever use of patience.
  8. They do a yearly summer sale just for updates, upgrades, and crossgrades. Yes, you can update from Kontakt 3 to Kontakt 5. You can also crossgrade from Kontakt 3 to Komplete 9.
  9. I think with a sample size that small it's a little hasty to call it at 5. I think the main takeaway is to avoid dying while shutting down the enemy rather than "keep it under 5 deaths". Recent example: I went 10/4 in a Veigar game today, and we were performing pretty well and winning hard. Then my team separated (adc was separate from team, got pwned by Jax, I was zoned out as well and couldn't enter the fight at all) and got the shit kicked out of them in a 3v4 and I couldn't really defend the base against 5 champions (Jax, Riven, Lucian, Taric, Kha Zix) so I had to let them take the inhib tower, inhib, nexus turrets, and nexus. Long story short; people are really bad at late decision making. If you want to leave lower MMR, you MUST WIN EARLY. The longer the game goes, the more likely you are to lose. EDIT: Another example! Winning hard, Ziggs gets caught, we lose the 4v5, end of story.
  10. Wouldn't you just invert the phase of one of your two channels? Forgive me, I'm not sure I understand the effect you're going for.
  11. Both theories are more reconcilable than you guys may think. To me, it doesn't matter if it's jazz or common practice. It's just music theory.
  12. If there is an OCR Bronze League i will freakin leave this site I just... I can't. I don't understand why you think making music is something that can be quantified with a ladder ranking system.
  13. Don't you think it's a bit premature to name this after Nobuo, since it's just a simple exercise in theory (resolving a 4 -> 3 suspension, and/or chord mixture, take your pick or don't because it's both)? EDIT: In this example, he's modulating to iv from i (cadencing on IV). It's not a foreign/borrowed VI in a major key like you were describing. He changed keys so that resolved chord is the new I. But yes, resolving to I when you're in a minor key has a cool sound. The earliest evidence I can think of this is the intro of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor.
