Man, the server (and my internet) was doing funny things tonight...meh. Also, I'm getting kinda sick of Dustbowl. I know, I know...but it's getting a little bland. I really like Turbine, but I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority. Eh, dunno what maps I suggest. I'm out of ideas. @ Bleck: I <3 your signature and love that comic. I'm a little antsy about the movie, but I'm hoping it'll be good.

I also like 2fort...but if it's between 2fort and Turbine, my vote has to go with the latter. And I need to agree with whoever said this earlier and once against emphasize: granary seems to have lost its favor with the crowd pretty quickly. Gravel Pit is always fun, and it's a map where almost every class can be really good. I guess I can get behind that. And for those that dislike Steel: When I first joined, I really hated it too; it's so damn big. I fuxxed around with it for a little bit and it's still big, but a little less overwhelming and I really enjoyed the time we spent there.

@ Bahamut: To answer your question... I really REALLY started to hate Granary today after the first round, and I'm pretty sure most other people (or at least everyone on my team) felt similarly. I'd love to see 2fort replaced with turbine. Keep Steel. It was a ton of fun. Put back in Toy Fort. It's a blast too. So...my ideal rotation would be something like this: cp_dustbowl cp_well pl_goldrush tc_hydro cp_dustbowl cp_toy_fort_elite cp_steel_b4 cp_dustbowl ctf_turbine Given, that's 3 custom maps...but eh. Do what you feel is right, in your heart.

I think tonight was pretty damn amazing. Toy Fort was about 30x better then I expected. Turbine is one of my favorite maps now (I really don't see how anyone can think it gets old), and I'm looking forward to Steel tomorrow. Also: I think until the Pyro craze dies down, I'mma try to get better with either sniper or spy...so, free kills for everyone on the other team!

I ALSO throw in my vote for Steel. It's quite the amazing map.

FiremanJoe: There's an amazing sniper who plays from Aus....I'm seriously afraid to walk outside when he's on the other time. He pings in at around 230 or so.

My bad about suggesting Orange. It's a lot of fun, but you need a full server for it to be decent....my bad. And I'm retracting my suggestion for Mach4. It's not the map that I thought it was (although it was still kinda decent). I'm going to nominate Hyrdo (something I thought I'd NEVER do) and Turbine (which is the map I was talking about when I suggested Mach4). I'll leave the other maps up to you guys. Had a GREAT time tonight, what with a good majority of it being the sillyness which was a full team of engies/spies/demo/etc. [Edit:] I'm just now finishing going through my 350+ maps torrent...I discarded a lot, but I've picked up quite a few. I'm going to be pretty upset if I have to download anything anytime soon.

I actually just finished downloading a torrent filled with 350 or so (3.91gigs) of TF2 maps. I think I'm set for a while. [Edit:] And Orange is either a hit or miss map. I really enjoy it...but I can see where people would not.

2fort, Dustbowl (normal), ctf_mach4, any Orange map.... I actually really enjoyed Hydro tonight, which is rare. I fuckin' hate that map. But tonight, it was a lot of fun.

That last link, the 'Custom maps used for server:' link, does not work for me in any browser I have (Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer).

Bahamut, like I said: I ask because the link to the maps is down. It gives me a 404 error when I click the link.

Is there somewhere where we can download the maps beforehand? Cause, I'd love that. [Edit:] The link to the downloadable maps on the original post is down. That's why I ask. Dropping a line for a few reasons: First: I had a great time tonight. I think I went something absurd like 102:19 KD ratio...I had an amazing night as a pyro. Truly amazing. Second: Why is it that the reserved slot is ALWAYS open? Shouldn't we make it so that it just auto-kicks someone when a person who's got a slot wants to join?

Damn guys, I'm really enjoying playing on this server. Probably my favorite server that I've found so far: great company, it's speedy, great map selection. As far as suggestions go, might I suggest Turbine? It's one that I've just recently come in contact with, but it's a lot of fun. It's CTF and pretty small.

You guys ever see the reactions to when they announced Starcraft 2...in Korea? It's amazing.

Pretty much anything from StarFox 64...seriously. There's the obvious barrel roll and the obvious charge up lazers one, and then: 'Trust your instincts!' - Peppy 'Gee, I've been saved by Fox. How swell.' - Falco 'Annoying bird. I am the great Leon!' - Leon (duh...?) 'I saw my life flash before my eyes!' - Peppy Um, let's see...what else. Seifer: "I hate it when you wish me luck. Save it for the slow students who need it." Quistis: "All right...Good luck, Seifer." Seifer: "Add Instructor Trepe to the list!" And that's all I'm going to do at the moment. Needless to say, I'm now going to sit vacantly and think about this for a good long while. 'Our Princess is in another castle.'

I hope this goes in this area of the boards. Sorry if it doesn't. Anyways, I'm moving from my current residence, a 1 story home in which I live in the center to a new house, which has 3 stories, one of which belongs to me alone. So, I figure I might wanna buy something to make use of all this wide open space...and I figured some speakers, for music, movies and gaming would go great! Problem is...I haven't the faintest idea of where to start looking, or for what to look for. Help?

I have all my achievements, but I'll drop by if I can and help you guys out. Also: the best beginner class is either soldier, heavy, or scout. Soldiers and, depending on which FPS, scouts are very standard stuff, with the heavies being not much different.

My vote, speaking as an almost random guy (just joined OCR) is to leave maxvisible off, allowing those who reserved a slot to get on. Does that mean that it fills at 22, or simply that an OCR guy, who donated, would be allowed to join by kicking another player off?

Really enjoyed playing with you guys today. I'd get back on and play a little more, but I'm actually tired and I'mma try to get back on my normal sleep schedule. I left early 'cause my team had our first scrim. As you can imagine...it went terribly.

Well, now I really wanna get GTA4. I didn't before, but, dammit Yahtzee, you've inspired me. And I think he's going to end up reviewing Mario Kart Wii, it just might be a bit. He generally gives hints about what he's going to review, whether it be 'next week something that still isn't released in Europe' or, like this week's 'I'm not going to review Mario Kart Wii.' But, we'll see. Every Wednesday, these bring a smile to my face. He has yet to dissapoint.

I have a question aimed specifically at the creators of Relics of the Chozo and more generally at people in this thread: Would anyone object (or better yet, think it was a good idea) to uploading the MP3 version, taken from the .wav files at 320kbps, onto a torrent tracker? I have no problem doing it and was actually thinking about it, but figured I'd ask.
