  1. powerlord is reinstalling the server so it won't be an issue then.
  2. we really just need to make the group public.
  3. Team 2? Why not teams Nintendo and Sega? Street Fighter and Mortal Combat? Schala and icecap? LET THE BATTLE OF THE TITANS BEGIN
  4. all the voices can be overridden in the config file for mapchooser. Shouldn't need to write or modify any plugins. also I know sourcepawn. But effort
  5. So yeah. I just noticed our servers had the default fps rate (300) I've corrected this to 600, which it what it was before. Should feel a bit better.
  6. POLL TIME Force auto? Y/N bans for people who go spec and switch.
  7. monthly from the day you registered brah
  8. minor tf2 update Server Browser - Fixed the server browser not saving filter settings properly Team Fortress 2 - Fixed a speed exploit related to benchmarks - Fixed Parasite hat not being posed correctly on class loadout panels - Fixed a level change crash servers updated and restarted
  9. I'm not sure if we're running KAC on that or not (known issue with eyes angle at launch). I'll check it out as for admins, it's a sticky situation at the moment.
  10. second song is from bayonetta. For sure. Song is "One of a kind" iirc. edit: youtubes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKWgJNm9Mg
  11. No hax involved. You'll notice even ESEA admins were backing him up on this.
  12. This stuff's pretty good. Not sure what the quality setting is, but my AAC compatible car spends 5 seconds trying to make sense of it and just errors out. Guess I'll have to re-encode
  13. I don't have a link to the post, but Greenmarine posted on SA that they'll be shipping more than just the ones who won.
  14. Having modified files isn't necessarily a problem. Custom skins and such are just fine and dandy. the whitelist will tell the client what is and isn't OK. The key here is not that he had modified his models/skins, but that sv_consistency was set to 0. When you join a server, the server has certain vars that it enforces upon the client (such as sv_cheats 0). In this case, even after connected, sv_consistency was 0, which is inconsistent with the server's configuration. The only circumstance where this will happen is if the client is modified to this end. (note that typing sv_consistency 0 in console or a cfg file WON'T trigger this behavior, the client knows these vars are protected and won't normally let you change them) As for that convar, sv_consistency has three settings. 2, which drops any client with custom model files which do not match the server, 1 which lets the client load models (provided they aren't something silly like huge), and 0 which totally disables the checks. IIRC we have it set to the default; 1. Note that the pure whitelist rules still apply. convar violations are ALWAYS the result of a hacked client, which is why kac ALWAYS bans for it. /themoreyouknow
  15. KAC is awesome. http://www.ocrtf2.com/bans/index.php?p=banlist&advSearch=STEAM_0:0:27355855&advType=steamid&Submit For those of you not famliar with JIRX, he has a few youtube videos.... etc Looks like he tried to pop in around 4am, so I doubt any admins were on.
  16. I do this as well Except sometimes I accidentally hit g
  17. Ok so because atmuh is awesome, I've fixed the mapchooser_extended plugin. BASICALLY - rtv and nominate still function exactly the same as they do now. - You now get a 15 second audible and visible warning + countdown for the next map vote - Map vote keys are no longer bound to 1-3 - If no map wins by 45%, it will do a runoff vote with the top voted maps Someone pointed out engies use keys 4+ for building and destroying, but with the alert it should be fine (Once you vote, you can resume normal key use, and you know it's coming), so hopefully this should be an ideal solution
  18. Some people have voiced annoyance over mapvotes going up at bad times. We have two options: 1) use mapchooser_extended. pros: Sound alert before votes go out, votes don't use 1-3 keys cons: no rtv/nominate. A similar behavior can be mimicked with playervotes.cfg but in a less intelligent fashion. 2) Go back to using the mapcycle. Or we can just keep it how it is and deal with the pop up votes.
  19. I've noticed this has been pretty empty recently. Is there still interest in this server? If so I think we should start looking at admins.
  20. ^ Still this Also: Thunder Mountain has a problem in that offense can take more than 30 minutes. Do we want to just maxrounds 2? And do we want to apply this to all A/D maps? Or just thunder mountain? Often we just end up RTVing off A/D maps at the third round anyway, but it could result in a short map play time if both teams roll
  21. class limits turned on for RED. Also repaired maplist and mapcycle files after steam crushed them under it's mighty fist Mini sentries do less damage than the pistol, and they're very fragile But the ability to drop them in a matter of seconds makes them quite useful for fungineering. Also they seem to self repair rapidly while being built. edit: Do we want to change the reserved slot behavior? Right now it shows 24/25 unless the server is full of reserves. However, if a non-reserve connects, he's promptly kicked. Kind of annoying. The solution is to hide the reserved slot, but this means slot holders will need to connect via console when the server is full. (connect blu.ocrtf2.com) THoughts?
  22. OCR has never been so serious that a sentry defense game is grounds for trolling. Especially on RED. Some of the best laughs I've had on this server were from random on the spot games like 12 offensive engie dustbowl, all heavy rushes, etc. Also, I don't care if you want to use RED to farm an achievement. The problem is when you go as far as to slay someone over it. Again, there are no rules enforcing strange game modes etc, and that applies to farming achievements too. IJ didn't do anything wrong here, and while I'm not going to say you're not allowed to farm an achievement, I will say that slaying someone because they were a hindrance to your achievement farming is admin abuse. The same would apply if you were playing the sentry defense game and someone on your team was playing scout. It's fine if the server wants to self organize itself, but slaying someone because they're not playing along with what you want to do is not acceptable. edit: ninja'd by... atmuh?
  23. There are no rules on RED that state rules like "melee only" must be followed, unless there's some kind of pre scheduled event. This goes both ways. And slaying someone so you can farm an achievement is pretty much admin abuse. There are plenty of achievement servers out there, surely you could have used one of those instead of slaying OCR regulars.
