  1. I was doing really bad after the update, just took some time to get over it. The best advice I can give you is to spend that respawn timer thinking about WHY you died, and how to avoid that. Don't think about what killed you, think about how you got into that situation to begin with.

  3. Based on feedback I've gotten, I've removed premuda and egypt from rotation. I think it was fun having egypt back in for a week or two but it's already overstayed it's welcome for some. Premuda I've had a lot of mixed feelings about, so I'm open to discussion on putting it back. Current rotation is: koth_viaduct cp_granary pl_badwater cp_dustbowl ctf_sawmill cp_gravelpit cp_gorge pl_goldrush ctf_2fort cp_badlands plr_panic_b1 cp_steel ctf_doublecross koth_harvest cp_waste_v2 ... How did 2fort get back in there? Do we really want 2fort AND doublecross in?
  4. I'm trying to negotiate my way into squeezing out for just mag, but things are looking grim. Assuming I can even get a ticket at this point.
  5. Because we've not updated it. Conversely, I like Vector. I don't get the equation of A/D ctf to a PL map... it's rather different. It's also a lot less stalematey since capping the point is just a matter of sneaking the flag onto the point when nobody else is on it; unlike PL where the enemy team can respawn and take you all out after you've cleared it since the cart has to trundle along.

  8. Took the duplicates out, also added some of the recent customs we've been running to the maplist so you can RTV and nominate them. Also added an A/D CTF map back in now that valve's fix0red it.

  10. Since some people were having issues with Nightfall, it's been replaced by Panic! Nightfall may go back into rotation once it's more complete. as for gorge and doublecross, I'm looking for a wider consensus on these as far as them being in rotation.
  11. I got this little piece of awesome from Mahaboo. The card was awesome too.
  12. Perhaps, but the regular RL does more damage at any range if there's more than on target in the XBOX HEUG LOL splash radius. While I enjoy the speed and mini-crit effect of the DH, the regular RL is more useful in most cases. DH is a fantastic 1 on 1 weapon. But for anything else, odds are you'll be in a situation where there's more than one enemy around at a time, at which point splash damage is far superior in overall damage output, team usefulness, and general tactics. Yeah, the air mini-crits are nice, but they're rare. A bounce crit is even more rare since the splash cone is so horrifically small on the DH. I think the DH needs re-imagined if anything. A lot of the unlocks do, really.

  14. Panic has really weird cart mechanics (The cart in the lead on stage 3 moves slower than the one behind it)... not sure how that'll pan out. Howevr, I'm willing to sub it in for nightfall until it hits beta (there are newer alphas, but with a redesigned stage 3 that psy was experimenting with, though he's scrapped it in favor for the current one and is now texturing/optimizing it for beta) Oh, and the rain issue is a known issue. Blame valve.
  15. This is pretty damn awesome. I love how you sneak little details in like the pretzel laces and the Tetris necklace, but still keep the whole thing classy as hell.
  16. I almost passed this up because I'm not a fan of the second two songs, but man I'm glad I didn't.
  17. Oh man. Quad Machine was one of my favorite tracks from Q2, but I never thought of it as a remix candidate due to it being a fairly small amount of actual source material, and being pretty bad-ass as it was. From what I hear so far, this is clearly going in the right direction. The guitar mixing feels a bit off to me, but I can't put my finger on it. Other than that, I'll just be looking forward to this progressing

  19. banning aside, valve has already said they don't approve of achievement unlockers, so I'd avoid it. also, milestones STILL aren't always handing out items, and according to emails I've seen posted on spuf, they won't until the item server is 100%, at which point they'll do a batch handout.
  20. Final fantasy tactics. Though, maybe it's well respected and I'm just haven't noticed.
  21. This update broke A/D CTF. I'm going to pull premuda from rotation until either mappers or valve fix it. EDIT: Oh, yeah, building dispensers as spy is an exploit. Don't do it.
