  1. For sure get AVG Free Eddtion. I use it aswell with my Webroot Spysweeper with anti virus. I highly reccomend if you eventually are interested in buying protection for your computer. Look into Nod32, Kapersky, and of course AVG Internet Security, all which i have heard nothing but good things about.

  2. Lmfao. Speaking of MIT. Since I am into comps. In the weight room last week in the weight room we were all talking what were gonna do after highschool. Zack was saying "Cody is gonna go to MIT and be the Super Nerd". lmfao. another friend of mine Ian we were like

"You have to have beyond a 4.0 to get in to MIT" xD Good times.

  3. Yeah, theres some glitch out there, read about it on Lionheads forums. people getting millions of gold xD.

I didnt really get shafted. I was told they ran out of codes from the community forums. I dont buy games very often, so its not a big deal throwing what? $20 to get a few silly pub games. oh boy, i didnt get a free xbl arcade game. xD ill be like the rest of the world who didnt get it, and just buy it when i feel like it. Frankly, all i care about is the LE content :P

  4. ...They're supposed to be a bonus with the preorder. You got screwed.

And I've already gotten everything, including achievements, from the pub games, with a cool 42,000 gold to spare.

As far as how...well...I think I was just really lucky with the spinnerbox. I didn't exploit that infamous glitch, however.

They ran out of codes as far as I heard, and I ordered from Newegg. so I dont know. and dont much care. I didnt buy the pub games yet. only dled the demo.

  5. has anyone here been playing the pub games a lot? i've been doing poorly at them, myself.

Cant afford to buy them at the moment, but the demo is oddly difficult. O_o. But hey, id imagine there good for some quick gold when your in a pinch.

  6. To me, video games are a way of putting reality aside for a moment (or a few hours, depending on the game). I do not want to see blatant advertising of real-world products because I am not interested in reality at that point. Really, all that does for me is cheapen the gaming experience.

I don't find subtle advertising (minimal logos, for example) to be as much of a problem. Even advertising that fits with the game universe is okay (TMNT as Ransom mentioned, or even the Yo Noid game, which can be viewed as one giant advertisement for Domino's). In contrast, fake advertising (Mario Kart tracks) actually makes sense and seems realistic for the game.

Advertising real-world products is just not appropriate (as far as design, ethics, etc.) in most games.

Theres alot of things we dont want in life, or in our games. We deal with it. Ive learned to deal with in-game advertisements, doesnt bother me none, because i focus on the games main story, Surroundings, Graphics. if it has an add. Big deal its the way of the industrys.

  7. Wow. Looks like I learned something new.. Never knew that. lets hope this one will eh? I read something somewhere that your surroundings will change according to your actions, so I assume, this will have that feature.

  8. When you played the old Tony Hawk games as much as i did when i was younger, you get used to it. I learn to deal with it cause advertisements are everywhere these days, movies, stores, buses, magazines. Before you know it, someone will be bitching about being to many in a city..

None the less, Its an Industry. Advertisement is a big deal when you own a company. Anywhere you can advertise that will get you some more hits on your products, is a greenlight.

  9. The first one promised that trees would grow throughout the passing 'years' that you played. This one had better have at least that.

O_o. You want to show something to back that up? I recall nothing of the sort. :?

  10. Long loading times, Big deal, it was an Incredible game, for the first of its kind. The Second only brings the better. I own Fable the lost chapters, and like I said before, Pre-ordered the limited eddtion.

I LOVED the first, and I will definately love this one. Loading times didnt bother me much, because i can be patient. Im sure it will be fixed though.

  11. Erm. Its not that coding isnt for me. Its that Teacher to Student Communication Sucked through the virtual school It was going through. id ask for him to help me out with a delema with my Code. he would either, A: Tell me something completely Different. Or B: Just tell me to keep trying. (Im sorry, but im not going to spend hours on a beggining project, when You can show me and I can learn from my mistakes)

I get the general Idea of C++, once i work on the Arithmatic Expressions, ill be somewhat good to go.

The tech school im going too, will have support people there to assist me in the class. Plus, im going to pick-up a book on C++ and take some tutorials.

Plus, i was told by a guy going into this feild to learn as many Coding languages if your going into any programming. But, I see thats wrong.

  12. See, thats what Im doing, Getting into Software Development. which does has Computer Programming, and Visual Basic. and i think some networking wired in. From there, im going to get into some of the trade shows, and TRYING, to get the money to start a blog <_<. Moneys pretty tight atm.

None the less. Its a pretty tough industry to get into. Show the fuckers what you got, Dont be some guy that just expects a job cause you went to college. like they said build a portfolio. Go buy a C++ book, so a Java Script, Get the ball rolling ASAP. Look into the local conventions. Get out there, get noticed.

I just recently dropped my online C++ class. simply for the fact. I CANNOT Code with out a hands on teacher there. I need someone to base it off, e-mail to e-mail doesnt really work out the best <_<. I self taught myself HTML easily. and some CSS,

LEARN AS MANY CODING LANGUAGES AS POSSIBLE!!

Almost all coding languages base off of each other in some way or form. iv had a number of programmers tell me to learn as much as I can now. Get the ball rolling.

Im a kid who wants to be a Programmer, But I suck at math ^_^. But thats something i will over come to get to where i want to be.

Work your ass off. Challenge your self. Learn and build as much as you can for that portfolio, Iv talked to guidence counslers, College teachers, they all tell me the same thing, come to college prepared. Thats all i have to say.

  13. I stll have my Sega Genesis, NES Second Generation Model PS1 original, and i play them all, from time to time.

I cant get enough of oldschool games xD.

Also, I was at a gameshop the other day, they had a Copy of Megaman X-3. a limited number of them were released in america, they go for $150, I dont think i could bring myself to buy it.. and it was for the SNES, and the rarest and most expensive game in america, what a game to have in your collection, eh?

  14. "Your story is waiting."

I pre-ordered The limited Eddition for bout $70. and I CANNOT WAIT until October 21st :]

    What do you all think?

  15. I never saw the big deal about this series beyond multi player. That was always fun.

Neither did I. There wasnt much change in game-play from halo2 vs halo3. But we still had our online play.

Lucky for me, i misplaced my halo3. So have fun with the expansion. ^^. I for one will be playing some Fable or something.

  16. Bah, I've gotten weaker ever since the sickness. I am slowly getting back into it. I realize now that I still might not have recovered 100% as I get dehydrated very easily. I am working on it.

    >_>;

Im just comming out of a cold. I have had a terrible cold for about 2 weeks, which set me back from getting in the gym. now, i just have an irratated throat, and a not so bad cough. Im well enough to be in the gym, Drink lots of water, and eat well :P

  17. Started getting in the Gym as of today, and let me tell you, just after about an hour in the gym. (Which is all i have time for after school) I feel great, makes me want to do it as much as I possibly can. Worked on my legs. lower body, and arms :]. I feel amazing.

  18. I'm thinking bad RAM because it's consistent. A failing hard drive would be noticeable either due to noise emitted, bad sectors popping up all over the place, or never getting past POST. I dunno about dying motherboards though, it's certainly possible, but I would think something like that would just fail to start up altogether, since there are so many things that can go wrong that would produce a POST error.

well, after I get my new phone today, I am purchasing 2x1gb of ram. IF that is the case. then it will be cured if not. Then its most likely a mobo problem, if i must replace a part.

I will send it to the local repair shop for a day. Since I have Gateways hardest model to even install a built in keyboard <_<.

Im guessing Im pushing my RAM as it is. i have alot of music on here. with a couple large programs.

  19. You should. One of the best RPGs ever.

    Most original story

    Best music

Awesome character design (though not EVERY character is)

    Beautiful art

    Memorable

Multiple story paths (though this has been done before)

    Full of magic

In other words, better than its predecessor in every way. Kinda like Half-Life and Half-Life 2.

Hey. Its not likely to happen. So... Keep hoping, or learn to ReMix, and get a project going.

Check this out, the thread I made a while back.
