  1. Chrono Cross, truly, has the best music I've ever heard in any video game. There are almost no weak tracks throughout the entire game. Sure Chrono Trigger was good, but its music was not near as magical as that of Chrono Cross. This game deserves an album way before Chrono Trigger. I say OC Remix gives it a shot (when they get time that is)

I already made a thread for this, :P. So, I doubt there will be an album for it. I still have my Copy of ChronoCross ;D

  2. I'm a huge fan of biking (about 3 months out of the year I do endurance cycling, but not super-hardcore), but the problem with biking is the same problem with running or any other single excercise: doing only one thing (or predominantly one thing) can make you really good at that one thing, but unless you keep it constantly varied you'll lose strength in other athletic modes. I guess, it also somewhat depends on what your ultimate goal is. In a nutshell, as long as it's not your only means of excercise, it definitely can't hurt your general fitness and is also a great means of transportation.

One thing i question, Just biking around the neighbor hood for a good 15-30 mins or so, on days when im not at the gym is good? (I choose biking over running)

  3. Is biking a good way to get in shape?

I only ask because. im getting better. and as going to the gym. biking to school, and biking home after comming from the gym.

So yeah, just wondering. short distance though, since its like MAYBE a qrter mile from the school

  4. I'm assuming you already checked if it was under warranty? Vista is pretty new so i'd assume this is a pretty new laptop as well - and a lot of laptop manufacturers have pretty decent warranties.

No. I am doing an online course. and dont care. if it breaks. ill replace the part my self.

I cant afford to send it out. I always seem to get an asshole when i call them too =/

EDIT: If i fail this course. i have to pay the school $375, its bullshit if you ask me, so i cant afford to send it out.

  5. Also - Formatting is wiping the entire drive. If everything on the software level is wiped, you can pretty much conclude there is a hardware problem. The BSOD-Then-it-wont-let-me-start-up sounds like one of three things to me - either a hard drive physical memory dump due to impending failure, bad ram or a failing motherboard.

Come Taxs, i should be getting 300-500$ back on taxes. and ill buy all my expensive parts for my PC im building. Then finish off the tower. and find a decent 20inch monitor. plus i can pickup a keyboard at walmart. Lol

once that is built. i will most likely use this laptop for music only. Like I do now.

But yeah. its weird. I wont pay for a new peice of hardware for this either. =/

  6. If you have a keyboard, you don't need the mouse to input notes. You can just record whatever it is you're playing. Then, you can use the mouse afterwards, with quantization, to clean up your playing.

Well, Its a MIDI Controller Keyboard. So, it just helps me control the VSTs and whatnot. Unless I can record with that too?

  7. I do not have a reg'd FL Studio, i have the demo and my MIDI Keyboard. been playing it around. Theres somethings I wanted to know, and YES. I did research. My questions were still unanswered.

Like the Piano Roll. i record beats on them with my Keyboard. Must I use a mouse?

Because then i cant record PowerChords. =/

    Another thing.

Some good tips on making a decent pattern beat. I find it terribly hard using my mouse in the piano roll, is there ANY way possible to use my MIDI controller?

I could address more problems but i wont XD

  8. She probably doesn't get the driver issues with 64x the same way I don't - by using standard hardware.

I swear, it's you morons still struggling on the 32-bit versions of Vista that are causing all the problems. Switch to Ultimate for fuck's sake.

I have had errors, like. vista not wanting to run a program out of its self. Example: C&C Tiberium wars. it wouldnt run it out of its autorun.exe i had to manualy do it.

Oh. I would love to. problem is. I dont get enough hours to even save enough money to buy shit. xD. This is the only major problem I had with vista. Everything else is just

little shit. Standard hardware? I havent changed any of the hardware on this laptop.

  9. When you write a polished story (or a polished turd, really) you create a world bigger than what you show. It's kinda like you're looking through a window, there's more to outside than just what you see, and a good author knows that.

It is in no way amazing, because if they hadn't created that backstory, they would have used another element. They could make an amazing dating sim right now and make it fit with the game's bordello and tropical resort.

And you know what, it still doesn't make FF7 great writing, it's above average but not by much. So many plot elements in there were tired when they were used, it's not funny. Amnesia guy, traitor but actually an ally, tragic hero, lost his wife, tragic hero, lost his parents, tragic heroine, loves main character, tragic hero, lost everything. They reused similar stereotypes in the same game for Christ sake. And the whole "we know you're lying but hey, you might have amnesia so lets accept your lies" that was BS. The whole Cloud / Zack storyline was botched just to keep a semblance of surprise for the player, but that's piss poor writing since it forces characters outside of who they were. Tifa knew the truth and she said nothing until Cloud remembered? She's portrayed as brutal and impulsive. If you were to look at this with a critical eye, you would see that the game is pretty much swiss cheese.

You prove an unbelievably good point, none the less, it will always be one of my favorite games, you see. I played and beatin the game as a child 11-12ish So it has more sentimental meaning more then anything. Like the game ChronoCross, Its not that great of a game but i see that, Which I also own in my personal collection. My friend Ben, whom is playing FF7 as we speak is willing to buy one for $150.

I found my copy for $50. Hell for a game I seemed to love so much as a child i bought it. still a great game in my eyes.

my top 2 games are FF7 and ChronoCross. I feel bad for putting up in my top two. i have never beatin ChronoCross. I beat the dead sea, mem card went through the wash, and that was all she wrote. Never completed it. But, i dont know. I guess i cant say its not that great of a game, since i never completed it.

  10. Uh, no. Zack was in the first game, though only in flashbacks. It was pretty well established that...

    1) Aeris and Zack dated before his death, and

    2) Cloud took on Zack's memories.

So, no, it's not likely they planned that far in advance.

Well yeah, But it fit perfectly. Makes you wonder though.

  11. My friend is wondering, as am I. that when they made FF7 they planned it out perfectly to make crisis, beacuse when ares says "My first boyfriend was that too" or whatever, thats after cloud said he was SOLIDER first class, shes refferring to Zack? this has me wondering, did they plan it out from the start? or did it just fit in place perfectly? Because im convinced it couldnt have just "Fit in place" so perfectly It had to be planned. What other reason could there be?

Edit: Could a Mod fix the Title? (Damn my typing)

  12. Seriously. You seem to be asking a large number of questions that are easily answered by looking up the answer yourself. You'll find that in nearly *any* online community of knowledgeable people, those who know the answers tend to be helpful to those who have tried to find the answer and failed, not those who can't be bothered to look. If you try to set up your MIDI controller and run into difficulties, people will be willing to help, but if you can't be bothered to read the manual, people can't be bothered to type out what the manual says.

Sorry. Its a habbit of mine. I will keep that in mind in the future.

  13. It's possible you might have bad hardware like a motherboard. Don't just assume it's vista - i'm running vista 64 and was told i would have countless driver issues, but everything works fine including all my audio hardware. I've only had trouble with a couple 32 bit applications.

Can you backup and reformat again? If you can't even reinstall windows (vista xp or what have you) then it's probably hardware related.

I have no clue how you dont have driver issues with 64x <_<. But. When I reformatted last time. did the same thing. and when i go to startup repair. it will remove the recent program I installed. If i were to reformat. im sure i would get the same problem again. my Fan is all dusty, so i had to get an undercooler for this so it didnt overheat the power supply and shut down.

About the BSoD. It was only a Brief flash, but I seen it. Does it eh, once or twice a month. Funny thing is. It did the same thing when i downloaded bit torrent. did the startup repair and it removed it.

I doubt ill get another BSOD though, tough luck getting that code =/ ill give it a shot tonight after work though.

  14. Well, let me just say, Vista sucks dick. I never had this much trouble with XP in my life.

About, eh, 2-3 months ago, I got a BSOD had to completely reformat my laptop:-x

Because of a "Recent Hardware or Software Change" (Thanks for being specific Vista ;l )

I got a BSOD just as I booted up. it was a brief flash but I seen it. and it prompted me to choose startup repair, or start windows regularly. Been doing this on and off for months, Even though im pretty computer savvy. I cant begin to think why it would do this. =/

Not sure if i should post this here, or where i should. This seemed to fit though.

If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.
