  1. Sorry for all the hassle with this mix. I keep getting it deleted by stupid hosts who think everything with the .mp3 extension is illegal or something, so they delete my own work and disable my account. I've uploaded the file to another server now, one of a friend's. Please let me know once it has been downloaded because I need to remove it again once it's gotten to you. It's been quite a while since I sent the mix now so I'm hoping to hear your opinions soon. =)
  2. This is my first submission to OcRemix. A Power Metal Remix with some heavy orchestration and synths. Hope you like it. Artist Handle: Cage Website: http://www.cage.alturl.com/ E-mail: kooybas@hotmail.com Regards, Bas Kooij a.k.a. Cage
  3. Hey, dj pretzel, How are ya, man? I've just produced a hip-hop Mega Man X remix: the best I've done yet. I've modified a few eq'ing issues to the original copy which I sent over to VGMix. Here's the better version: It's Zero and Dr. Light's themes done Ice Cube style. My original verses after the melody have celtic-style flute and oboe solos. Other than that, it's your typical Double A Ron mix with synths, breaks, and scratches. Enjoy it, judges and DJ P, Aaron Parsons AKA Double A Ron
  4. Here is my remix of FINAL FANTASY VII - Judgment Day, my unique song title is "Final Judgment". My remix name is: Naz. My website is: http://nazworkshop.vze.com ---------------- Naz. http://nazworkshop.vze.com http://nazjkd.tk
  5. Artist: Makkura Title: Airport 1001 Game: Megaman X Orig Song: Storm Eagle Stage My URL: www.maybe-someday.com My E-mail: chris@maybe-someday.com RealName: Topher --- This is 2nd song I've submitted. The first song I sent over a month ago hasn't been reviewed yet. So I guess technically, this is a new-artist submission. Anyway, this is Storm Eagle's stage from Megaman X. I'm attempting to remix the entire soundtrack of MMX. I've already started the next song, Flame Mammoth's stage. So far things are going pretty smoothly. Thanks. ~Topher
  6. DJ Alias: Toxic Soul Song Title: Time's Burden (Chrono Trigger - Time's Burden OC Remix) It's an ambient remix of the battle theme. Arg. I'm sorry for sending so many of these... For some reason, tripod removes ID tags as well as the first bunch of letters from the filename. Sorry for the inconvenience. -Toxic Soul
  7. What did you think? Post your opinion of this ReMix.
  8. Despite the obvious amount of effort and talent that went into this, it nevertheless comes off and - I would say - *is* more of an excuse to rap than an interpretation of the original piece. There's nothing wrong with that, and it's yielded some interesting and enjoyable results here, but ultimately whereas pieces like Asterix and Knuckles from MC are more video game music arrangements that happen to have rapping in them, this is rapping that happens to have a little bit of video game music in it. The discrepancy might seem subtle or arbitrary to some, but I believe that it exists and that the other members of the judges panel who have indicated as much believe so as well and are judging with that perspective in mind. Still fun.
  9. Mustin - Sonic the Hedgehog - Final Zone (Final Hour) If you can quote me after your introduction, please add this: "This is a cut that didn't make it onto the album because Masato Nakamura still owns the copyright and does not want to license it (which is why there hasn't been a soundtrack release for Sonic 1 or Sonic 2). You will find other songs from the Sonic the Hedgehog series on OneUp Studios Presents The Very Best of SEGA. For the first time in America, the music of SEGA first party games has been licensed to a company for a compilation, and that company is OneUp Studios. We also worked closely with Yuzo Koshiro to feature two Streets of Rage 2 tracks, and with the creators of ToeJam & Earl for a funky rendition of the main theme. So please enjoy this free track, and check out The Very Best of SEGA at http://oneupstudios.com/albums.php?show=5 and listen to samples from NiGHTS, Sonic CD, Skies of Arcadia, After Burner, and more. We hope you'll enjoy The Very Best of SEGA." Thanks! If you need any more information please let me know. -m Mustin

  13. I am Alluro95, and this is my first submission to the OCReMix archive. You might know me as a MIDI sequencer of music from video games like Super Mario RPG at VGMusic.com. Here is a remix I made purely for fun. Remix Information =========== Game of Origin - In-Game Location: Raiden II - Stages 2/8 Year/Publisher: 1993 SEIBU KAIHATSU INC. Original Composer: Akira Sato Remix Name: "Bossa Nova 2.8" (two-point-eight) Remixer: Alluro95 Length: 2min 59sec Bitrate: 160 Kbps Other Information: This remix of the song played in Levels 2 and 8 of Raiden II was largely created with help from an old music program called SuperJAM! using the Bossa style. This remix was created more for fun than anything, and I didn't expect the results here to turn out as well as it did. The name of the song is a creative play on the style of the music (Bossa Nova) and the fact that part of the setting of Raiden II takes place in outer space (hence the word "Nova"). The 2.8 comes from the origin in the game in which the song plays (Stages 2 and . Song key is C#-minor Remixer Information: Name: Alluro95 E-mail: emra527@hotmail.com _________________________________________________________________
  14. It's basically an orhcestrated version or "Marginal Beast" from Legend of Mana... not much to say about it really. Information about me and whatnot: Name: Ehliyahna Website: None. ._. E-mail: ehliyahna@hotmail.com
  15. Frequent Flyer - Remix of "Mexican Flyer", an instrumental piece written by Ken Woodman and his Piccadilly Brass in the 60's, and later used in the musical-game, Space Channel Five [©Sega]. There's a lot I want to say about this one, so get comfy and I'll try not to bore you This is my tenth or eleventh remix of the Mexican Flyer theme (though I chose not to submit any of the others at all), and probably the most "mature" mix I've ever made. That's really the first reason for the name, too - I remix the theme a lot, so "Frequent Flyer" seems to fit. Of course, there are other random reasons aswell - - In the game, the main character gets everywhere by flying, - The first levels in both Space Channel five and the sequal are on futuristic Passenger Cruise jets, and both of those levels soundtracks contain samples from the original Mexican Flyer - what I've remixed, - In my opinion, and as some others have said, the music itself gives the feeling of drifting away, - Almost every song on the SC5 soundtrack is it's own remix of Mexican Flyer, so the theme frequently pops up in different forms throughout the game, - And a whole bunch of other things that really depend on your own imagination ^^; When I first started mixing this theme again, I really had no idea what angle I wanted to take on it - or what genre - but I soon drifted into something cool, something unique that I guess is best described as "breakbeat Jazz". If the judges like originality, I'm certain they'll love this mix, and not only because of the unique genre, but also the composition. Rather than just taking the original theme and doing a straight cover of it - where the only changes are a few mixed around soundfonts (like a shiteload of other remixes lately) - I decided to completely re-build the whole song from scratch, throwing in as much improvisation as I possibly could. The end product isn't really a straight "remix" of Mexican Flyer, but really an idea of what the level music *could* be for one of the games stages (seeing as each stage is a different take on the theme). That said, yes - it sounds like mexican flyer, but it sounds very different at the same time - something I'm definitely proud of. I'm very hopeful this mix will make it onto the site (it could even be my first, if my other submission gets rejected), but I do realise that there are some problems with it too, little things that the judges might pick out - For starters, drums are *not* my strong point. I also realise that the quality sounds a little sub-par for some of the instruments (my equipment's certainly not the best), but people seem to agree it's still an enjoyable mix regardless of its flaws, and I hope the Judges agree - if not, well atleast I'll get some decent feedback. Cheers guys, Hadyn
  16. Hey there ! I'm new to Overclocked Remix, so be easy on me ! Here's something I did some months ago and thought could fit well around here... I think SoundClick erased the ID3 tag when I uploaded the file, so I'm sorry about that. I guess I could send you the file by email if it's necessary. 18. Dear djpretzel, I'd like to submit my recently completed remix of the Ken Stage in Street Fighter II. The remix is original and it is my own. I've spent that past few months creating it and hope that it lives up to the creativity you are looking for. All of the ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags are filled out according to the submission guidelines. I created the remix on my own. It can be credited to my handle, Endnote. My email is: ruff_ryda162@yahoo.com. The full name of the song is: Street_FighterII_-_Pool_Party_Serenade_(Shoryuken_Holocaust)_OC_Remix A brief description of the song: The song is a straight-forward take on the Ken stage of Street Fighter II in the style of rock. Using the main riff to drive the song, the song is short, but I feel it captures the epic feel of the melody and even borders on intensity illustrated in music such as punk or metal. There is a point of transition in the song which symbolizes the moment in a Street Fighter II round when the music speeds up, in order to illustrate that moment where you get a little nervous because you don't want to lose. While a short and straight-forward song, this song is a great representation of how much I appreciate the composers of this song. I hope you enjoy it. I'll email you every week or so just to so I can find out if it'll make it or not, and if not why. I request that you change the filename to fit the title because I had to shorten the title because Geocities would not accept it. On a sidenote, I appreciate all you've done for the community. Endnote
