We found a mix under a different title, Zelda+64+-+Storm+Rifted+Sky.mp3, that we believe is being submitted - djp Hello again, DJP and/or judges. I've made a new arrangement of three ocarina melodies from Z64; Song of Storms, Bolero of Fire, and Requiem of Spirit. Find the song here: UnknownProductions, and download the file called 'A Storm in the Desert'. Title is 'A Storm in the Desert'. Wow, repetitive. Thanks for your time, guys. ~Ty

I'm sure anyone who hears this soundtrack has to love it. I hadn't even played the game until recently, and I kinda just decided the music was cool, so I'd attempt a remix. I also did this because I knew it would be kind ofa challenge. I've never really worked this extensively trying to time samples and vocals, so I took some experimentation. It's really kind of a fusion between "Sneakman" and "Let Mom Sleep"(yeah, I like combining songs), with a big percussion/drum solo section in the middle. Anyway, here it is. Name is HappyBivouac and all that jazz. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed doing it. -HappyBivouac

Hi there! More than one year ago I submitted my first remix here. But it really sucked and was produced in the old days of eJay . That was a theme from Faxanadu, now I have to warn you that you might already be tired of this classy theme from FF6 I'm submitting this time but I wanted to redo this melody for a long time but never had the right software/sounds/enough motivation but now I finished something. Let's see what you guys think of it. Here's some info: Artist name: N.D. Song title: Winter Fantasy Song info: An orchestral interpretation of Terra's theme Take care! Andy

I am submitting this mix for your review: I submitted this mix a long time ago and it got no response. Now that VGMix is back up and featuring a WIP section, I got people to give their suggestions. I feel this mix is much improved thanks to that feedback. Much of the repetitiveness in the drums and the overall mix has been removed and a lot of re-mixing and EQing has been done. Chaos Engine is a little known top-down shooter made by the Bitmap Brothers for SNES, Genesis, PC, Atari ST and Amiga. Some versions also had it named as Soldiers of Fortune. A link to it's entry in Moby Games can be found here: http://www.mobygames.com/game/sheet/p,2/gameId,933/ Thank you for your consideration. Andrew Babb www.hoodyhoo.com - www.damnspiffy.com

Alrighty, a mix of three popular Zelda themes plus a little improvisation. In there you have the main Zelda theme, originally from Zelda on the Nes, i believe, but then you also have Ocarina of Time's completely over-remixed but still amazingly beautiful Gerudo valley theme and the Song of Storms/Windmill Hut theme. For the reason it has more from OOT than it does Zelda 1, i guess you can list it under that game This is my first real submission, though i have been remixing with fruityloops for quite some time, and i seem to have developed quite a unique style in that time. For this reason, i know there'll be people who wont like my music, but if they can get past the the initial impressions, i'm sure people will find a lot on offer under the surface of the mix. Or atleast that's what someone told me on the forums, heh. Not really a whole lot to say. People on the boards said it made them happy to listen to it, i hope it's the same for the judges ~Hadyn

email sub file Acid Rain.mp3 - djp Greetings DJ Pretzel! I wrote you an e-mail a while ago concerning a type of mix you might allow on your site, However I realize you are a VERY VERY busy man. So……… I figured heck why not let you see what I’m made of and see if the idea is even worth questioning. (lol) About Me and This Mix: The idea for this mix came along while I was snagging a brand new emulator for my computer off the net. Upon playing all of my Sonic games I realized that they quite possibly have the greatest possibilities of mixing up their music out of any game I’ve played. But then again that wouldn’t be fair b/c virtually all video game music kicks ass in its own “special” way. (w00t!) First off, I should mention that I hate the traditional techno that repeats for hours on end with absolutely NO musical talent required to make. So I cranked out this rendition of Sonic 2’s chemical plant zone with lots of hard work, grinded teeth, and many nights of Easy-Mac and cereal at 2 in the morning. Inside the mix lie several effects and voices which I think you would take appeal to. The flanged water moog bassline and the TS404 synthesizing are among some of my favorites. Like I mentioned before, anyone can make a repetitive piece of MP3 garbage, so with respect to this problem I had one solution…….SOLOS!!! Whooo!! I used the melody which everyone will recognize as the chorus while opening up respective sections for other instrumental solos……….oh and did I mention this is techno funk??? I think you will enjoy the musicianship skills I had to apply to make this little number. The bass lines sound something I would expect from BT so needless to say I was pleased with the overall effect of mix I would also like to say that I appreciate all the hard work from dedicated mixers such as yourself and McVaffe that give songwriters like me a role model to look up to. I love your work!!! Thanks again! I also want to apologize for making this an attachment file, but my server site is having problems with me posting up the downloadable mixes for you… sorry! Ok here’s the good stuff… ID3v1 tag: Title: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Acid Rain OCReMix Artist: Vertigo Year : Nov. 24, 2003 Genre: Techno funk/groove Comment: http://remix.overclocked.org ID3v2 Tag: Original Artist: Masato Nakamura Copyright: © Sega 1992 URL: http://remix.overclocked.org Accredit to: Vertigo My E-mail: Squall57Gunblade@aol.com My Actual Name: Clint J. Note: slow server, might be faster from judgespace - djp Hey! It'sa me, texx! Today I got bored on my sick leave and also had the tune of Ken in my mind... So it wasn't a big deal to get up and remix it the last 12 hours. And it's called like the pictures in my head: "Rain Over Tokyo". What a shame nobody remixed Ken's tune so far. I just HAD to do it! greetings from Austria! Phil aka. texx sound _____________________________________________________________

Email submission filename Dancing Mad Orchestral Suite mvmt 1.mp3 - djp This will be my first submission to Overclocked. This is a symphony orchestration of the first section of Dancing Mad. Not that I don't like organs, but I've always felt this piece would work especially well if arranged for full symphony orchestra. My first priority, though, was making an interesting arrangement that sounded good, no matter the orchestration, which accounts for the addition of an obviously synthesized patch. It was notated in Finale, actually, and transcribed from both the original midi version and some close listening to the "Black Mages" version. The patches were created and played through my Alesis QS8.1 synthesizer. The arrangement itself is quite true to it's original, which was my intent: to create an orchestration that simply augmented the original composition. There are a few obvious compositional additions though: For one thing, I lengthened the section right before the chorus (now sax and english horn) come in, taking the second transposition and drawing it out to be the same length as the first. The second major addition is the "Elfman-esque" glockenspiel during the "choral section", which I think gives this section a very refreshing feel. We'll see what's in store for this project, as I have a lot of other music composition projects going on (for college), I'm not in love with the 2nd section, although it does leave some room for some unique re-composition in spots. BTW: I apologize for having to email this to you, but it seems that mp3.com is not letting me access my page at the moment.
