Thanks ) GAME NAME: Doom REMIX NAME: "Demon Dance OC ReMix" URL (to download): DESCRIPTION: Basically it's Bobby Prince meets Front Line Assembly, but I tried to be a little more original than that.... I think I managed to capture some of that 80's synth/club sound a little bit ) Equipment used: Yamaha DX7, Yamaha CS1x, Roland U220, Roland R8, Akai S3000XL, Lexicon MPX-200. Okay, it's obviously taking longer to get around to actually downloading the file than I can have my web server running. So, forget about the last track I submitted and check out my geocities page for the new track I did. Well, I've worked all summer long to improve my skill at musical composition, and have had several successes, along with a whole slew of half-completed pieces and outright failures. Rather than bore you with details, however, I'll get right to the point. This is a ReMix of the Horteka theme from the Dreamcast/GameCube game "Skies of Arcadia," as the name of the piece implies. Being a perfectionist, I may never be completely satisfied with this piece's final form, though I've worked and reworked it many times. Either way, it is time to move on. This is more of an arrangement than anything else. As the title suggests, it's meant to go along with a scene in the game so i've concentrated much more of the mood of this rather than the technical aspects so intrumentally, it's fairly minimalist. It's meant to be a 'story in music' so it's more of a piece that should get you thinking rather than it just being something to listen to. Whether i've managed to pull it off well, that's what the judging's for. Made with Guitar Pro 3, Cubase, Edirol Super Quartet, Edirol Orchestral & Sound Forge 6.
