  1. If JD's SC4 mix passed (barely), I do think this should as well. It's got issues that I'd love to see addressed, but it's pretty decent. Your call - it's been a long night full of many lesser mixes...-djp Artist name: Motel Mix ( ) Song title: Bloody Tears hard rock and here´s the song: _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963
  2. Not sure relative to the source material what's going on here arrangement-wise - djp Hello, i did a song a while back with some parts 'borrowed' from Wizards and Warriors II and Double Dragon 3...it was pretty much a experiment from back in the day. Here's the url: Enjoy it, all the best Todd D. Goldfinger
  3. Alright, I've submitted a few remixes in the past. They were my first three remixes, and besides the Chrono Trigger one, they weren't all that good. I'd be quick to assume that since I sent them to your mailbox, that's why they were never reviewed by the judges (My last submission as in March, I believe.) Anyway, I'd like for you to forget those anyway. I want to make an impression when I finally get up on Overclocked. I believe this Remix will do the trick. The URL is This remix is of the Leblanc Battle Theme from FFX-2. It's been stuck in my head for god knows how long, and I am extremely happy with how it came out. I would have lowered the bitrate to lower size, but it gets crappy after this (It already suffered a bit). It's a bit weak in the beginning, but it makes great progress as it goes along. All I request is that it's reviewed soon, because I was waiting a very , very long time for those other Remixes to get judged. Peace out. Happy listening ! Joe Laurino antiGUY
  4. Hey, This my first OCR submission. It's a remix of Sephiroth's theme from FF7. In case I haven't done the ID3 tags properly (apologies), here's all the song info: Remix Title: "Final Fantasy 7 Internal Affliction OC ReMix" Artist: Sephfire Year: 2003 Genre: Game Original Artist: Nobuo Uematsu URL: http://remix.overclocked.org My Website: http://www.finalfantasy7.info My Email: sephfire_cec@yahoo.com The link for the song is: Hope everyone enjoys it. Later, Daniel Floyd PS: Awesome website. If there's ever something I can do to help, lemme know.
  5. This is a remix of Terranigma's underworld map theme. I was always a fan of it, and thought my experiments in soundscaping would fit the mood of the underworld well. The main themes of the piece are carried by a relatively simple piccolo, flute, violin, and cello quartet arrangement, and harmonies are provided almost exclusively by the harp arpeggios, and the soundscaping, as well as relatively subtle belltones. URL for the song provided below, thanks for taking the time to review this!
  6. Hi DJP, It's been more than 3 months since I sent something in, so it was about time I did. This time it's not the typical new age mix I usually do, but a blend of a touch of synth, electronica with my usual new age/orchestral style. There's even some R&B, rock drums elements. I enjoy merging different genres to create a new kind of sound. Some people mentioned it reminds them somewhat of Panzer Dragoon or the feeling of flying or traveling in space, which was my intention. Mission accomplished. I think this is my best mix to date. I hope you do too. (4:38, 5.3 MB) The original is track 13 of the spc file. Title: Space Travel Game: Star Ocean (SNES) Composer: Motoi Sakuraba Mixer: GrayLightning Special thanks to Protricity, Vigilante, Israfel and Analoq for taking the time to help and comment with their sage-like advice. - GrayLightning **Edit- GL requested that the link to his mp3.com page be removed from his profile page, since mp3.com is shutting down

  10. Dear djpretzel, I've never made a submission before, thus I have no idea really what I should be saying in this e-mail. However I did read the FAQ on submission guidelines, so here I go: Name/Handle: The Complacent Web-site URL: http://www.mp3.com/thecomplacent E-mail: huicj@usc.edu URL to mp3: Okay, well that covers everything in the guidelines...uhmm..hope you enjoy the ReMix! And also on a side-note, I love OverClocked ReMix! hence I wanted to be a part of the site by submitting this. Well then, anyway, feel free to give me as much constructive criticism and/or feedback as you like, I'd rather appreciate it actually. - The Complacent (Chris)
  11. Hey to judges Danforth through Hawthorne. Here's my latest remix, I'm not sure when in the wait line it'll go, since one of my mixes was moved up, but anyway... This is a remix of the menu, main theme from Hitman: Codename 47. That's the one with the badass bald guy who sounds a bit like Chirstopher Walken in hell ("This place seems quiet. Where... do I go... for some action?!") The mix is done mostly orchestral style, with some techno thrown in; it's all got a kind of poignant, determined feel to it, because I figure if I killed people all day I'd have to be pretty plagued by guilt, and pretty determined... but Hitman says it better himself in the mix. Here's the info: Title: Chained to a Barcode Game: Hitman: Codename 47 Remixer: Rayagon Email: aaron_matteson@hotmail.com (feel free to show it) Anyway, here's the link: Just save the link and you should get 3:51 of pure Hitman. Thanks, and see you all on the flipside.
  12. I could only stream, not download, but the hifi version had parts that sounded decent -djp Hi. Handle: Blak_Omen Website: www.soundclick.com/blakomen Email: darketernal_13@hotmail.com You can find the file at : , and scroll down to the file. Most of my past submissions are there too if you forget about them...I have no idea how many are lost in the veritable maelstrom of other submissions. There are some comments in the id3 v2 tag of the mp3...and enjoy. Please if it's possible could you email me at darketernal_13@hotmail.com when this is being judged? It would be much appreciated. Keep up the good work guys. ___BLAK OMEN___ - Gray
  13. Definitely a concept piece, but does sound authentic at least. Certainly different.... -djp hey DJP. i have remix for you. its an 'old style' remix. well, as 'old style' as i know how to be, that is. its the bubble bobble theme, as you probably gathered from the subject...well, its done up to sound like its being played on an old caliope or someting, recorded on one of those old cylinders. it reminds me of an ice cream truck, and i thought the giant popsicle reference was a nice tie-in. i hope my geocities account has enought bandwidth left for the download... or, if that doesn't work, go here and do the right-click-and-save dance ; its the only song there... thanks for having a site that is great. ¤_¤ actionBob™
  14. Credit ReMix To: Kenneth Atkinson E-Mail: uematsufreak@hotmail.com I created this mix and mp3 and, by sending this e-mail, am giving permission to post it. Thank you for a wonderful site and putting up with billions (I'm guessing) of submissions (and retarded questions, as any webmaster does). _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
  15. http://www.queststudios.com/sierra/qfg/qfg1gm10.zip I don't know, guys. It might just be 2 minutes, but it sounds like there's quite a bit of new stuff added relative to the original, where the melodic accompaniment consisted of an anemic tuba...
  16. Well, do be careful not to judge jazz/funk harsher than techno, orchestral, etc. if it happens to be a genre nearer and dearer to you. At any rate, I agree with analoq in that the criticisms are accurate but not to the degree that the mix is ineffective at musically communicating an idea in an enjoyable way that works as a ReMix.
  17. Anyone know the original? Link? Very cinematic...-djp Hi, to make this short: Remixer Name: SirPrise (Christoph Sachal) Remixed Title: Quest For Glory Main Theme Web Site: http://www.sachal.de.vu Link to file: Keep up the good work, Best regards, Christoph Sachal e-Mail: sirprise@olis.north.de WebSite: http://www.sachal.de.vu --- The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they'll be when you kill them. ---

  19. I just submitted a remix that includes three songs from Castlevania IV: Cave theme, Hall theme, and Library theme. The problem is, I submitted the Cave theme by itself a long while ago (Symphony in a Cave) and assumed it fell through, so I submitted my new remix with Symphony in a Cave included in it (it's called Nocturnal Suite). I just noticed Symphony in a Cave is going to be judged soon, but can I replace the remix I submitted a while ago (Symphony in a Cave) to the new one I sent recently with Symphony in a Cave included in it? Here's the link to the new one if you decide to replace it: Thank you. -Ork Estral
  20. sorry. the link to the song i sent earlier was broken. some problems with lycos. please go here: and download from where it says 'click here'. thanks... ~mythril nazgul

  22. Email sub file Gunsmoke theme.MP3 -djp Hello, This is Mark Newcomb, and I'm been a fan of both the Gunsmoke NES game and your site for quite some time. I have made a speghetti-western type of remix for the Gunsmoke intro with my keyboard and guitar. I know you don't like e-mail submissions, however, this mp3 isn't very large at all. I am new to posting submissions to Overclocked, I guess my user name could just be my name. If you would post this mp3, you have my permission to post my e-mail (wlmmn@hotmail.com) and my name. Thank you! -Mark Newcomb
  23. My artist name is Kawaru, and my website is http://djkaru.darkregion.net. The mp3 for my submission is located here at , just in case the HTML doesn't work.
