Well, I really like the sound of Ending Theme 2, and someone asked me to make a ReMix of the Zelda theme almost a year ago, so if I ever finish my first track (yeah, I've still got writer's block:oops:) I'd like to have a shot at it.

You could have meant 2 different things. 1:30 into Audix's track (which is what Audix seems to think you meant) or the last 1:30 of the file ds is trash posted (which is what Emunator seems to think you meant).

I will try to do it, but my attempts so far have led nowhere. And I foolishly started a Remix Collaboration on another forum on top of the other stuff I have to do. If I don't do it for the challenge, I'll do it for you later anyway. It's not really fair if everyone else has there requests done and you don't.

Damn it, I have writers block again. I dunno if I can finish this on time. Sorry Monstro Town requester.

There were a couple in the Workshop forum a while ago, but the links have since been deleted, or have died. =( However I found by waffleboy5787 which I believe was rejected by the judges. Still beautiful though. (Sorry, it's a Youtube link.)

Well, first of all, I reckon it's a bit conservative for OCR. There isn't much arrangement, just somewhat simple "in-between bits." The bubbling effect at the start and finish is a nice idea, but the sound itself is a bit low-quality. The bass is really annoying, and for most of the time very simple. It overpowers a few of the synths. I'm kinda a beginner at EQing/mastering/etc. so I might have this wrong, but I think the problem is the EQ. There were also bits during the main melody bits where it seemed to clash with the rest of the instruments. Snare drum sounds a bit dodgy. Again I'm a beginner at the production side of music so I can't tell you exactly what's wrong with it. The pitch bends (2:48-2:54, and again later) are wrong. It should be bending for all, or at least most, of the note. Other than that, good mix! btw it's easier for everyone if you use Tindeck for hosting. No waiting for the download, and you can listen while it downloads.

You shouldn't use Youtube when sharing remixes here, as it lowers the quality of the sound a lot. http://www.tindeck.com/ is a good site. If you're aiming to get this posted on OC: Sorry, but it's way too close to the original. It needs a lot more arrangement and changes and such. If you're not trying to get it on OC, then good job, it really does sound like it comes from DP!

I think I might join in too. This song reminds me a lot of another song from a different game... am I allowed to mix it in if the RC Pro Am theme is dominant?

Damn, I just read your post again, and I must have missed that word the first time I read it. If this is too conservative, then I don't think I'm ready for OC yet... still, I will continue to fix up the ReMix and maybe submit it in a few months. I haven't got razorlime, but I just realized I've got 2 bars of nothing at the end of the song. And fixing the transitions a bit could help as well. Thanks for your help everybody, especially Geoffrey! I'll be back when I think I'm ready I guess.

I'm using Audacity. I'll see if it has anything. Nah, I was just trying to add some variety. I'll change it back. =) Thanks! But aren't those 2 sites broken or something? @Gario (your post is too long for quoting. ) I can possibly fix 2 of those issues in one go: the size and the transitions. Maybe removing the "in-between bits" and putting in good transitions could make the song shorter and more like a single song. As for the instruments...that could be a real problem to fix. >_<

The whole thing's a little slow. The samples used aren't very good. And the whole thing sounds very empty. It's also WAY too close to the original. You didn't really add/change anything at all. The screechy noises are a bit annoying. The brass shouldn't be staccato-y. The percussion is fairly simple, and the ending isn't that good either. I hope that doesn't sound too negative... It's still an alright mix.
