  1. Wow, I love the Quartet! The Orchestra has reached it's download limit though, so I couldn't download it. You should find another site to upload them to. I'm really looking forward to hearing more from you.
  2. Ah, that would be mine. Unfortunately it didn't make it past the panel, but I'll be coming back to it and resubmitting it. Eventually. Here's the thread if you're interested: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=25315 I'm glad you like it! :3
  3. Thanks for all the feedback guys! I'll try to fix up all the issues you all mentioned. I'm planning on re-sequencing all the piano (and probably some other parts) with my MIDI keyboard to help humanize it a bit, once I've sorted out the slight delay I've got at the moment. All the SFX in the first little bit are from a Reason patch called 'Dark World." That's actually supposed to be original writing. I'm assuming it reminds you of "Suteki Da Ne," since Emunator pointed that out to me as well. I'd never heard the song until he mentioned it, so it's completely coincidental. Thanks again for your help everyone (especially Monobrow ). I'll post an update as soon as I can.
  4. Game: Donkey Kong Country Original Track: Life in the Mines ReMix: This is actually my second ReMix of this song (first was in this:http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22879 mini-medley, which I'll be coming back to later). It was made entirely in Reason 4 and it's part of a collaborative remix project on a DKC fansite. Arrangement-wise, it's pretty much finished (just gotta change the drums and work on some transitions), but I think the production might be a bit off. So, please give feedback/criticism/advice if you can. By the way, there's also a few cameos/references in there. They are, in order of appearance: 0:20 - Green Brinstar (Super Metroid) 1:01(piano) - Cave Dweller Concert (Donkey Kong Country) [the bit at 2:08] 2:29 - Mining Melancholy/Kanon's Klaim (Donkey Kong Country 2) Also 4:55 sounds like On to Grasstown (Cave Story), but that was an accident.
  5. This isn't actually a posted remix, but... http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/116308 This is actually Woods Motel, by Red Tailed Fox. I don't recognize anything else this guy has uploaded, but chances are some of that's stolen too.
  6. This sounds a lot like a low quality, distorted version of Reason's "Hellspawn Guitar" patch.
  7. Hylian Lemon is currently running an Oracle of Ages Project called Essence of Lime (http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=16399) which I believe is being released in March or April.
  8. If you've got a program that supports VSTs, there are some great 8-bit VSTs available, and I'm fairly sure some are free. I don't know exactly what they're called or where you can get them though, because I use Reason and that doesn't support VST. If you have Reason, there may be some good 8-bit Refills. My brother gave me one, but I don't know where he got it from and it lacks a lot of classic sounds anyway. And as Otaku said, there's Famitracker. As for SNES/Sega, some people have made soundfonts of sounds from certain games. Once again I'm not sure exactly where to get them. Of course you'll need a program that supports soundfonts (I'm pretty sure most of them do). Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
  9. Hi there! :-P

Wait a second... your name's not in my recent visitors box. You never visited my page at all, you liar!

  10. lol OK. And I'm leaving you a message because you left me one. Hello!

  11. There's a very nice remix of Dark Groove by Phoenix Wing available here. I'm fairly sure it's part the 'Greatest Hits Musicdisk 2' collection (second download). It's not quite OCR quality, but it's still a great remix. Sorry for not finding this thread sooner.
  12. I'd really like to not suck at production (I don't even know how to EQ:?) so I can get at least 1 ReMix posted. And I want to be able to play Space Junk Galaxy without stuffing it up heaps, and maybe learn some other VG tunes.
  13. Okay, it's posted. I added about a minute to it but forgot about the synths though. Dammit. http://essenceoflime.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=wip&thread=40 EDIT: I should have said this ages ago, but I have a horrible memory. Can you please take the 5 off my name?
  14. Thanks guys. =) At the moment I think this is such an early WIP that it's not really worth posting it on the forums. I have a lot of ideas for it (I'm not completely sure how I'm going to get to them though...) and like you both said I need to fix the sounds. The out-of-tune stuff was all unintentional . I might leave some of it in though. Woah, I'm actually really surprised. I was sure I stuffed that up. I'll try and get some more done soon, although I'm having a few motivation and computer problems (the sequencer keeps crashing when I play to many channels. Like about 6.). And unfortunately, Ganon's League of Evil is still going nowhere. =(
  15. Why do I only check for new PRCs when the good ones are almost over? I'll have a shot but I suck with deadlines and probably won't finish in time.
  16. Posting a somewhat crappy WIP of minimum length right on the due date! Yay me! http://tindeck.com/download/78515de5a0269bd63efa3a21dd712556/dnnk/Zelda%20Theme.mp3
  17. That would be "Donkey Kong Rescued," which is on the list.
  18. Maybe it only applies to different versions of the ReMix by the same artist. I'll ask Liontamer or someone about it.

And I found your post on the Atlas. Welcome to the project!

  19. Thanks! =D I might be fixing it up, but I think the new remix is a bit better than LITSL, so I'd rather try to get that one passed. I think I read somewhere on the wiki that ReMixes are judged harsher if they're based on a source you've already ReMixed and gotten posted. I doubt I could get the second one passed if that's the case.

The new mix won't be appearing in the WIP forums for a while though. It's part of a DKC project and we're supposed to keep the tracks secret until release. =)

  20. Ha, finally got judged...

    http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=25315

...and rejected (understandably). I'm kinda glad though because now I can submit the brand new remix I'm making of only Life in the Mines.

  21. Thanks Emunator! =D According to the judging thread it should be on the panel now, but it's not on the list. Dunno if that means anything.

  22. Jazz Jackrabbit and Jazz Jackrabbit 2 are extremely overlooked as well.
  23. I found THIS one which, while not as good as Audix's, is still pretty good. Yes, it's from Newgrounds, but don't let that put you off. There are a few good songs on that site as well. Just not many.
  24. Sorry diotrans, but I've been having some computer problems on top of my writer's block. Monstro Town isn't happening, at least not yet.
